I got myself the dry bee hoon which includes handmade fishballs, fish paste in beancurd skin, fried tau kwa and soft beancurd in a bowl of clear and light broth which is not too sweet or salty. Ordering is simple with no option to customise the ingredients and the carbs option is simply bee hoon in soup or dry. Simply comforting to have this on a cold day 》$5.50

An affordable, no-frills and simple meal in town. This YTF stall located at the highest level in Lucky Plaza is famous for its fried meatballs and braised Korean mushrooms. I ordered mine in soup with sweet and clean broth along with a bowl of fried ingredients separated from my bowl of soup. The meatball is crispy and crunchy on the outside, filled with moist and tender minced pork inside. The mushrooms are plump, chewy and juicy.

7 Pcs w/o Noodle or Rice 》$5.60

We are not allowed to choose what goes onto the plate but we are free to let them know if we wish to swap anything out of the default. The YTF comes with a fixed set of ingredients that includes fishballs, tofu, bitter gourd, wantons, fried tau kwa, fried beancurd skin, brinjal, lady’s fingers and kang kong drenched in a starchy and savoury brown sauce. The sauce is the thing that makes this whole dish tasty and it’s best eaten with rice as it can get a little too salty along the way 》$12 with Barley

Everything except vegetables is deep-fried and drenched in thick and rich soy-based gravy with bits of minced meat and mushrooms. The gravy is thick and starchy but not too overpowering in texture and flavour. There is a minimum order of six pieces with each piece ranging from $0.40 to $2. Get their thick bee hoon noodles (instead of rice) that are covered in the same gravy to go with YTF. I would say to skip the (microwave) otah and just go for their unhealthy and sinful but definitely delicious YTF.

9pcs Fried YTF 》$7.60
Noodles with Meat Gravy 》$2 / big

The standard set comes with a mix of tofu, tau kee, eggplant, fish ball, tau pok, lady’s finger, pig skin, bitter gourd, chilli, quail egg and fish cake in a clear soup base with soya beans. The deep-fried tau kee was really crunchy and addictive. Overall, It was a no-frills, simple, clean-tasting yet satisfying meal except it was a little overpriced. I also got myself a cup of refreshing sour plum drink to go along with my order 》$21.50

The difference in Hakka style YTF is the use of meat instead of fish paste stuffed in beancurd or vegetables. The meat is nice, tender and well seasoned. They have a min order of 6 pieces and I prefer the dry version where it is served with chilli and sweet sauce.

Each bowl comes with a standard selection of items such as pork ball, prawn ball, fish roll, tau kwa, bittergourd and bee hoon. The broth is light and flavourful so I'll feel 'healthier' 😏 Not to worry for people who don't take bittergourd, this is a optional item. Portion of sauce served is fixed and they charge for additional sauces 》$5.50/Large

Top up $1 for curry gravy

2 of my favourite items would be the meat ball and mushroom. The meat balls were deep fried till crispy while the inner is filled with minced meat and the braised korean mushrooms were soft, flavourful and soaked with juice.

Comes with beancurd, bitter gourd, brinjal, fish ball, fried beancurd skin, fried quail egg, fried wanton, lady’s finger and tonnes of kangkong drenched in their secret tasty gravy. This definitely comes at a affordable price for a filling and hearty meal at just $4/pax and $0.50 for each bowl of rice. I would like to visit again but it’s quite inconvenient via public transport right now. Looking forward to the future Springleaf Station (TEL) that would help to bring more convenience to this place 》 $9 / 2 Pax

Decided to join in the queue of the newly opened Yong tau foo stall this afternoon for lunch. It was quite fast to reach me despite having a lot of people in front.

I ordered Yong Tau Foo Soup and a bowl of rice for $3.50 ($3 + $0.50 rice). The portion was quite filling that I didn't even finish my bowl of rice. Tasty soup with freshly made yong tau foo.

They do sell yong tau foo with noodles too and I'm gonna go try their noodles with the pre-mixed chili and sweet sauce gravy.

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
