Hotel Buffets

Visited Straits Kitchen for their lunch buffet and had a great mix of regional dishes. Got a dish from every counter including otak-otak (slightly spicy), seafood carrot cake, garlic naan, tandoori chicken, battered barramundi. Of course we couldn't resist getting a whole box of kueh-kueh too 😋 including goreng pisang, kueh lapis sagu and ondeh-ondeh.

🌟 of the show: Definitely the tandoori mushroom!! It was sooo delicious and we actually preferred it to the chicken because the juice from the mushroom helped to bring out the flavour even more. (Special mention to the goreng pisang too)

So 45 mins before the buffet ends, you can walk in and purchase a takeaway box for $12 (~$9-12 depending on which hotel you go), and the chef will guide you with recommendations as you pick what you like.
