Brunch / Cafe Food
Visited Bearded Bella for a nice chill Sunday brunch and love the atmosphere of the cafe! They are also innovative in their offerings with seasonal menu e.g. Christmas menu and monthly specials. Personally prefer the heartiness and well-made No BS Brekkie as it had a unique twist with diced ribeye served with scrambled eggs between the buns. Altho the Deconstructed Beef Wellington was innovative, nothing really stood out to me.

A unique twist with the slight spice in the smoked salmon brioche. Sunday mornings are made of good conversations and a hearty meal paired with a cup of aromatic latte 😋
Truly a flower wonderland! Every corner of this cafe is aesthetic on point. Almost every item on the menu is curated "for the gram". Despite the rather average food (tho the aesthetic is 10/10), I was charmed by this cafe and will definitely be back when they change their flowers and deco to the next theme.

The blend of nature and modern theme of the cafe felt as though I was transported out of Singapore. Despite the rather limited menu, I enjoyed the simple well-made breakfast items. We tried the Poached Eggs with Avocado ($15), Weekender Eggs ($19) and Latte ($5). There is nothing innovative on their menu but somehow the simplicity of these breakfast items gave a good touch of comfort to my Sunday.
Will definitely visit this cafe again and make a reservation for a seat at their outdoor area where it is probably less noisy.

As it was located near kovan mrt, I often pass by the coffee shop where the breakfast club is located at but it took a Food King video to encourage me to try it lol. It was a hearty breakfast and an affordable alternative to having brunch at a cafe. If I'm near the area and the waiting time is shorter, I would try it again. However, in my opinion, it's not worth a trip down and waiting an hour in the hot weather.

Situated in the old compound of Lee Kuan Yew's primary school (Telok Kurau Primary School), this cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating area. The indoor area is essentially a glasshouse decorated with simple overhanging plants, while the outdoor area is full doggos or rather, it's a pet friendly area (enough said!).
The food were rather innovative. We tried the Breakfast Burger ($20), Crab and Signature Scrambled Eggs on Toast ($25), and Mentaiko Fries ($14). I highly recommend the Breakfast Burger and Mentaiko Fries. In the Breakfast Burger, the fluffy eggs, sausage patty and ketchup mayo sauce came in between the buttery brioche buns. While the Mentaiko Fries truly blew me away with the sauce and it would've been a 10/10 if the fries were crisper.
Overall, despite the inconvenience of traveling to the cafe (if not by Grab / driving), I would definitely be back for a nice brunch with friends and to spy on cute doggos!
