Burpple beyond deals

50% off mains - got the Salmon miso cream pasta ($19.50) and grass-fed ribeye ($19) with sautéed spinach ($4, not applicable for disc).

Salmon cream pasta was very rich yet v balanced, was rather enjoyable. 7.5/10

Ribeye, however, was a bad choice. It came medium (they didn’t ask), and the cut of meat was too thin, had a lot of fat and tendons which made it very difficult to chew. The sauce that accompanied the steak overpowered the steak. 2/10

Went on a wed night, wasn’t v crowded but they were 80% full. Service crew was great, they check in often to see if you need to top up your soup or have any dishes to clear.

Good variety, but the ingredients wasn’t as luxurious as the shown in the burrple post (scallops, squid & seafood in general were subpar quality) but hey I’m not complaining for a $10pp buffet. Meat-wise, it’s either original or mala flavoured beef, chicken, pork and lamb. I liked the mala which was slightly numbing but flavour packed. Other selections such as veggies and proceed foods were normal. The soup was flavourful, but might a tad bit too heavy on the msg.

It is an outdoor seating, tables are well spread out and there is a 90min time limit.

I will only return if the burrple deal is still ongoing.

Burpple 1-for-1 for Aburi Salmon Mentaiko Don ($18), mentaiko sauce was extra rich and creamy, and the ebiko roe toppings was a nice touch. The vinegar infused rice provided a nice contrast to the mentaiko sauce. Wished the salmon cubes were bigger tho. Meanwhile, the Truffle Beef Yakiniku don ($18) was presented with tender beef and the rice was filled with truffle aroma. Oomph. Both are good choices!!

Used Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 for Aburi salmon mentaiko don ($11.90) and Unagi don ($10.90), the former was hella worth after the disc (generous slices of fish) while the latter was lackluster. Would return for the salmon don if I’m within the vicinity!!
