Restaurants With View

Restaurant with sea view at Changi Sailing Club but it is open to public. Ordered sirloin steak, medium. It came almost well done. Sent it back to the kitchen. Second time round still a tad above medium but acceptable.

Food is reasonably priced but don’t expect great tasting. Just remember that you are there for the ambience and the view. The service was good. Waiter even offered to take a group photo for us.

Remember to book early and ask for a table with sea view as these are limited.

This place is super difficult to get a booking. Typically even for week days you’ll have to book a couple of weeks in advance. A sign saying “We are fully booked for tonight” greets you as you come out of the elevator entrance to restaurant.

Why? Well for starters the restaurant is perched on top of Mount Faber with a good view of Sentosa Island, the cable cars and parts of the Harbourfront channel. Reflections is part of the landscape and beyond that is the sea. Unfortunately there is no sunset view as that is blocked by the cable car building next to the restaurant.

But the good taste of the food more than compensates. We ordered their crispy chicken mid wings, charcuterie of cured meat, tiger prawn capellini and crab and mango stack. No complains about the dishes except the charcuterie which came with crackers that might have been around for a tad too long. With 3 glasses of champagne, the bill came to a grand total of $196.56.

May come back with a different group in future just to try their other items in the menu. And enjoy the great view.

One of the three restaurants on the 57 floor of MBS, the view is magnificent. Food wise, no surprises. The Grilled Octopus with Tom Yum emulsion was nicely done. The Iberico Pork Satay smoky and sweet tasting. The Saigon Grill Prawns were succulent and the accompanying salad accentuated the taste
Do the prawns. The Smoked Black Cod tasted weird like it is a bit raw. Complete the meal for 3 with cocktails and a bottle of bubbly. Damage was almost $400

Maybe I’ll come back but it better be on a date night.

Great service, great views, great food. Poor weather aside, it was a perfect evening out with friends. Learnt that Burpple has One For One deals here. Next trip I will make reservations using Burpple and not Chope.

If you want to have an evening near the sea, dinner with great views of sunset, go to Stella Restaurant. It’s located in Changi. We ordered the Sweet Potato Fries, a Pizza De la Mare and chicken wings. Beer is also cheap. Will come again.
