A very chill cafe that serves all day breakfast. Total damage including coffee $36. Not the cheapest but hey! this is Bukit Timah area.

Ordered the signature breakfast. Portion is definitely big enough for two to share. Loved the sausage and the sautéed mushrooms! Coffee was robust too!

At $7.50 for a plate of grilled chicken chop, this has got to be one of the cheapest in Singapore. No wonder there was already a long queue ahead of me when I arrived at 12.10pm.

Plate comes with a more than decent sized piece of chicken chop, fries and scoop of coleslaw. The chicken was tender and the skin still crispy.

Strongly recommended for its value for money.

This Western Grill located in a Kopitiam across Clement Mall is cheap and good. Offers Burpple deals but the items on offer was not so interesting for me so I ordered all carte Grilled Chicken.

The chicken was nicely charred on the outside and tender in the inside. For $8.90 a plate, you also get corn in cob, salad vegetables and choice of carbs like mashed potatoes, buttered rice, spaghetti, French Fries and others.

For $4 more you can get a bowl of Mushroom Soup. Wish they had more mushroom in the soup but the croutons were crispy even after soaking up the soup.

A satisfying and quick western meal for me.

Good choice of craft beers and their burger was on par but pasta was not that great. The carbonara sauce was underwhelming and the pasta itself tasted powdery, more like it’s made from multigrain flour rather than regular.

Will come try other items on the menu and enjoy more great beer. Just won’t be ordering pasta again.

The melted cheese was so savoury and creamy it accentuated the flavour of the patty. The caramelised onions were so sweet and the regular fries look like hand cut and fried to perfection.

For all burger lovers, this is the place to go for cheese burgers. Wonder how their other burgers taste like….

Been meaning to try this Western grill restaurant but never got myself to go down to Bugis. Until yesterday.

Arrived before 12pm and the place was already half packed. Staff got us a table quickly and informed us the wait could be up to 20 mins. Nice move. By the way, service throughout was polite and efficient. Kudos to their well trained staff.

We ordered sirloins and butterscotch beers (root beer floats) and while waiting we got complementary buns to nibble on.

The place is huge and I like the decor which is a mix of greenery with old style US grill house complete with a barrel at the door.

Steaks arrived, cooked medium as per our order. Tender, juicy and flavourful, it went well by itself or with the beef sauce provided. My sautéed brussel sprouts were a little cold but nonetheless crunchy to bite into. My baked potato also could have had a little
more sour cream.

Nonetheless, one of my better steak experiences this year, especially at this price point. The steaks were $23.90 each and the root beers were $9.90 for two. With today’s inflation, that a steal.

Recommended for those craving steaks and go easy on the wallet.

Ordered Australian Sirloin, medium. The slab of meat that was served was well done on one end and had bits of almost raw beef at the other. And as a first for me, my steak had the funky taste of lamb, even though I was certain it’s a piece of beef.

Service was fantastic though. And my daughters swear their pizza and pasta (Burpple One for One) were excellent. Maybe I should stick to drinks, finger food and pasta next time I come. Price wise, nothing to complain about.

Small pasta restaurant in basement of Jem. First off, this modern concept of pasta eatery lacks choice of pasta and sauce. You only get spaghetti or penne, Aglio olio or Bolognese or creamy Alfredo. The other sauces were butternut kombu, miso butter and Laksa Olio. All not your normal pasta sauces. I ordered the Aglio Olio and choose smoked duck breast as my protein.

The bowl was served with pasta still piping hot. The spaghetti was cooked just right. But overall it lacked garlic, the usual herbs and was excessively oily. Duck breast was tasted like processed meat.

Call me traditional but I think I’d better stick with proper Italian joints when I want to eat pasta.

Legit Mexican fare. Love their new layout after renovation, lots of space and very chill. The Chipotle Salsa sauce is a must add to give an extra dimension in taste to your Tacos. Soft shell or hard shell? Your preference.

Restaurant with a good view of the Bukit Timah Nature reserve. Even though it’s location within Temasek Club along Rifle Range road makes accessing difficult, it is advisable to make reservations during meal times.

The seafood aglio olio was on point but the fried Hokkien mee on Opeh leave was just eggs with noodles and prawns. Safe to say we should stick to western dishes here.

This restaurant serves Peruvian food. Great ambience and great food! The service is also impeccable. Go for the ceviche, grilled octopus and arroz con marisco.

Damage was under $300 including drinks for three pax. I think we got value for this price. Strongly recommend for date nights and even casual meal amongst friends and families.
