Ordered the trio to try the different rolls.
The lobster roll was rather average, much prefer Burger & Lobster.
Crab roll was surprisingly good - eating Crab meat without peeling is so awesome.
The prawn roll was totally off as the prawns were mushy. Absolutely avoid!
We were disappointed by our 2nd main - Chilli Crab Risotto. It was nice that the crab meat had been pealed, but the sauce was lacking in the acidity from tomato.
There is great potential with Scaled and will come back to try other dishes again!
For the 1st main, we had Kong Bah Grouper with short grained rice. The grouper was fresh and paired well with the dark soy sauce to give the umami taste. When you poured the sauce over the rice, it tasted like chicken rice.
Highly recommend
Back to try this farm to table concept again after they relocated to their new location at Hamilton Road. This place is more spacious than their previous shop at Haji Lane.
As always, the seafood is very fresh as they are mostly caught locally at the Ah Hua Kelong.
Started off with Curry Mussels and Smoked Seabass Pate. Curry mussels was excellent like before and it was very satisying to dip the mantou in the curry. 1st time trying the seabass pate - it was very flavourful but not fishy. The pate tasted better in a bigger bite.
