bread🍞
for $2 this is a really big and thick slice so definitely worth your money. taste of the matcha was rather subtle and it would be nice if there’s more choc chips to make it sweeter. otherwise, it is a pretty good bread as the center was really light and fluffy!!
my first time trying banh mi and i love it! they have really affordable options here and the serving size is not bad. bread was crispy and well toasted + beef was saucy and flavourful. will definitely come back again given it’s affordable price.
sorry for the bad pic, was too excited to have it 😅 my second time having this bread bc i loved it the first time and i still love it now!!! i really like the crusty top and the sweet and savoury combination of the filling. the bread was really buttery as well. however, it’s quite hard to get my hands on this as they are always sold out so when i do see them i grab them 😁
this is actually my second time having this bun and i don’t usually get the same bread twice so this really shows how much i like this 😋 the best way to enjoy this is having it chilled imo, it tastes like a cream puff bc of the light green tea flavoured cream. the cookie crust is sweet (might be too sweet for some) and adds a nice texture. even though they raised the price, i felt that the amount of cream and size of bun increased but i might just be lucky
really wanted to try this to see how it compares to the donq one hehe. the filling tasted more chocolate-y rather than matcha-ey and much sweeter than donq’s which i don’t really mind. the crumbly top is just as amazing as donq’s!the bread was a no go for me though, i couldn’t finish it when there was no more filling left for me to have it with bc it was just too dry and not tasty enough to be eaten on it’s own 😪 not sure if i would get it again but definitely worth a try if u didn’t manage to get the donq one!:)
this bread has an uncanny resemblance to the one from provence 🤔 tried the provence one a few years back and didn’t really like it but can’t rmb why. however, i did enjoy this though. the custard filling was smooth and not too sweet but the bread was meh. overall, it’s still okay and i might get it again!
third bao i’m trying for just dough and i have to say i prefer the yam and red bean one more.. this tasted super natural though, as if u’re eating an actual sweet potato. not sure why i don’t like it as much but it’s definitely not bad!
have always associated red bean with “auntie flavour” HAHAH but this bao really surprised me. if it’s not for the numerous good reviews, i would not have tried it. before having this, i wasn’t expecting it to be sweet but it actually is! and it’s not the artificial kind which was what i really liked about it. it felt super warm and comforting to have this for breakfast idek HAHAHAH (actually went back to get more of this!!!)
not sure of the exact name of this bc its in japanese HAHAH. this bun was so chewyyy i love the texture, its kinda like mochi. love the crunchy walnut bits and citrusy yuzu peels as well!!
was drawn to this bread bc of the cheesecake looking centre and i love cream cheese!! planned on only having half of this bc i was afraid that it’ll be too jelak but nope!! the berries added a nice sourness to the cream cheese and balanced everything out really well
toasted this up and the outer layer was so crispy i lovee 🥰 cream cheese adds a slight sweetness to the salty cheese cubes, if u’re into sweet and salty stuff definitely try this out! only downside is that the filling is concentrated in the centre and i had to take many bites to reach it HAHAHAH
was never a huge fan of injeolmi but this bun converted me.. had it chilled and it was perfect🤤 the bread to filling ratio is nice and the mochi is really chewyyy!! rly glad i still have 2 more in my fridge HAHAHH
