Stumbled upon it on a rainy day. And had a really pleasant surprise as I wasn’t expecting anything from this place.

The dish came with a complimentary soup of the day (creamy mushroom soup with garlic bread). Both soup and garlic bread was good too.

The main star was the fish, well battered and well lightly-salted. It wasn’t overly crisply on the outside, it wasn’t overly soft on the inside. It was perfect.

The tartar and chilli sauce served wasn’t overly flavoured either. Adding that tinge of extra texture.

The shoe string fries were harder than usual you would expect, but somehow complemented the entire meal.

Had a long black as well and the total bill was $13.90.
