Iâd previously posted about the Xmas Feast from Served With that I really enjoyed! This time round, Iâm sharing their CNY Abundance Platter which includes:
~1x Salted Egg Cheese Mala Chicken Brioche w/ Purple Slaw
~1x Yuzu Men"Tako" and Omelette w/ Golden Floss Brioche
~1x Smoked Salmon Aburi Garlic Cream Cheese Brioche w/ GLOSS (Garlic Lime Orange Soybean Sesame)
~1x 100g Carrot Cake w/ Pumpkin
~1x 90g Pineapple Tart
Loved how fluffy their brioche buns were the previous time I had it and it was no different this time round! Still so good! The new flavour this time is the Yuzu MenâTakoâ and Omelette w/ Golden Floss and while it was yummy (loved the addition of octopus and floss always works haha), my favourite still goes to the Salted Egg Cheese Mala Chicken Brioche w/ Purple Slaw! The Pineapple Tarts come in 2 types - Charcoal Golden Pineapple Tarts & Cheesy Pineapple Tarts (I preferred this one out of the two!), while the Carrot Cake w/ Pumpkin was soft and had a nice texture!
The set also comes with additional servings of their sauces (Truffle Ruffle, Salted Egg Cheese, GLOSS, Truffle Chilli & Yuzu Mentaiko) on the side. The sauces are really addictive (esp the GLOSS & Truffle Chilli) and I almost finished all of them by myself!
Pre-order for this CNY Abundance Platter is now open! You can order via their link in Instagram bio or WhatsApp them at +65 8129 9121.
Do you guys agree that Pineapple Tarts are an essential CNY snack? I recently tried the ones from a home-based bakery Lao Niang Bakery, and Iâd recommend ordering from them if youâre a fan of pineapple tarts!
You can really taste the freshness in these bite-sized snacks! Each piece has a nice buttery texture and blends really well with the pineapple fillings inside. So yummy that I found myself popping them into my mouth one after another non-stop!
If youâre keen to order, can head over to @laoniang.bakery on Instagram to find out more.
Got to try the Xmas Feast from Served with last weekend. The set comprises:
~Smoked Salmon Aburi Garlic Cream Cheese Brioche w/ GLOSS (Garlic Lime Orange Soybean Sesame)
~Truffle Ruffle Scramble Egg Brioche w/ Portobello Mushroom & Sauteed Spinach
~Salted Egg Cheese Mala Chicken Brioche w/ Purple Slaw
~Truffle Ruffle Mac & Cheese w/ Maple Bacon
Love the fluffy brioche buns that were generously filled to the brim with ingredients and sauces! If I had to pick a favourite among the 3 buns, itâll be the Salted Egg Cheese Mala Chicken Brioche w/ Purple Slaw! The mala chicken is tender and had a nice spicy kick, and combined well with the salted egg cheese sauce for a flavour bomb! The Truffle Ruffle Mac & Cheese had a pronounced truffle flavour and was cheesy without it being cloying!
The set also comes with additional servings of their sauces (Truffle Ruffle, Salted Egg Cheese & GLOSS) on the side. The sauces are really addictive (esp the GLOSS) and I almost finished all of them by myself! đ

This is the Premium Prawn Noodles from Grandmaster Prawn Noodles which I enjoyed very much! The broth is the main highlight, and is definitely made for those (like myself) who like theirs rich and robust! The umami flavour is certainly strong in this one! As for the ingredients, one look and you can tell that the portions are very generous. The noodles had a nice texture, tiger prawns were fresh, sweet and crunchy, and pork rib was meaty and tender! Topped with fried shallots and lots of pork lard too to make it damn shiok la!
They are very thoughtful in their packaging: all components are packed very neatly with the noodles + ingredients separated from the soup + condiments.
I guess with a name like Grandmaster Prawn Noodles, one would expect their prawn noodles to be of certain standard and they certainly did not disappoint! Prawn mee lovers, go slide into their DMs on IG (@grandmasterprawnnoodles) now to order!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Chickeun sent over their Korean Fried Chicken for us to try! They only use fresh (not frozen) chicken and itâs a difference you can taste in every bite! Each piece of chicken was crispy and juicy, and covered in a sweet-savoury-spicy sauce! Really addictive!
Their sauces range from Level 0 to 4, and we had level 1 and 2, which were moderately spicy for us. Heard from the boss that Level 4 is crazy spicy so be warned! The prices are Regular 10 pcs + 1 can drink $13.80 and Large 20 pcs + 2 can drinks $25.80. You can DM @got.chickeun on Instagram or WhatsApp +65 9681 4368 to place your orders!
I havenât really eaten much abacus seeds to compare but the ones that I had recently from The Kookery are really yummy! Featured here is their Tri Colour Abacus Seeds, which are QQ and soft with a slight tinge of yam and sweet potato flavour! All their seeds are made from scratch without any preservatives added, and stir fried with mushrooms, black fungus, dried shrimp, cuttlefish and minced pork. Love their homemade chilli too, which adds a nice spicy kick to the abacus seeds!
If youâre keen to order this, you can do so via WhatsApp at +65 9863 0840.
These sandwiches from home-based biz W2 by T&C were delivered to me a couple of weeks back! Featured here is their Best of Both set, which includes Golden Treasure Trio Egg & HAHA Paradise.
I honestly didnât have much expectations, because how good can a sandwich be, right? But I gotta say, I was really impressed with what I tasted â these sandwiches were deliciously good! My favourite of the two is HAHA Paradise, which is a seafood sandwich with prawns and cuttlefish. Loved how well the fillings and sauces complemented each other â it had sweet & savoury Thai sweet chilli, mayo and even crunchy peanuts inside!
The Golden Treasure Trio Egg was a little more subtle in taste, but donât get me wrong, it was still a very good tasting sandwich! The sandwiches came in very nice packaging (not featured in my post, but you can check @w2bytc on IG to see it), and would make a nice gift idea too!
If youâre keen to order, you can do so via the link in IG bio @w2bytc. Deliveries are only available on Sundays currently, so be sure to take note of that.
If youâre nuts about nuts, youâre gonna love what I have here! EatNufâs nut butters are made 100% with just roasted almonds or cashews. These thick and nutty butters are so smooth and creamy â itâs the perfect companion to bread.
Both nut butters are healthy and good enough to eat on their own! Theyâre great for smoothie bowls too. Personally I preferred the Cashew Butter just because I like cashews but the Almond Butter was really good too!
Side note: I checked with EatNuf and they do not recommend their butters for those with severe peanut allergies.
If youâre keen to order or find out more about their products, you can do so at eatnuf.com.
Not gonna lie, I was pretty excited to try the Teochew Braised Duck from Duck Empire SG after seeing numerous mouthwatering reviews on them, and I must say my expectations were deliciously met! Braised to perfection, the duck was tender with a light herbal taste, and most importantly not gamey.
As part of the Family Set, thereâs also braised pork belly, eggs, beancurd and 4x white rice included. The set comes with extra braising sauce too and also 2 kinds of chili â a tangy one and a more traditional chili sauce. The best way to enjoy the duck is to dip into both sauces together. This was my parentsâ favourite way to eat it and theyâre thinking of ordering the set again for dinner!
All I can say is if youâre a fan of Teochew style braised duck, you definitely got to try this!
If you are keen to order from them, you can pre-order from their online platform at take.sg/s/6581881394. Island-wide delivery available.
Hey guys, check out the shellfish feast that we had from Eat Hum recently:
~Baby Abalone in Homemade Thai Sauce w/ Onionsâď¸
~Topshell & Imitation Abalone Slices in Signature Spicy Tangy Sauceâď¸
~Hairy Cockles in Signature Sauceâď¸
~L Size Cockles in Signature Sauceâď¸
~Asari Clams (Lala) in Signature Sauceâď¸
~Live Prawns in Signature Sauce
~Gong Gong w/ Signature Homemade Chilli Dip
Iâve heard many positive reviews on their shellfish prior to trying and the reviews were certainly accurate. Eat Hum ensures that the shellfish are properly cleaned before dressing them with their delicious sauces. The dishes featured here were very fresh and well-marinated; all of which soaked up all the saucy goodness â the Tangy Sauce was both sweet and sour, and the Signature Sauce was garlicky and spicy. Speaking of spice, they have nine different levels of spice from 0 to 400%! I had the 100% one and trust me, I could feel the heat! I dare you guys to take up the challenge of 400%.
âď¸These are the ones that warmed the cockles of my heart!

Tried this Tiramisu Basque Cheese Cake, the first of its kind in Singapore, from @juleneang a couple of weeks back and it was really enjoyable!
Loved how creamy and gooey the cheesecake was without being too cloying. For coffee lovers, the tiramisu mousse has a divine bitterness that cuts through the richness of the cheesecake. The cheesecake itself is reminiscent of a traditional tiramisu, with elements of Mascarpone cheese infused with Baileyâs Irish Cream and vanilla right in the batter. The whole cake is then topped with a dusting of cocoa powder just like the famed Italian dessert!
If youâre keen, you can DM @juleneang on IG or visit https://www.julsbake.com to place your orders.
Check out the delectable spread of food that we ordered for lunch yesterday from Uncle Leaw Thai Food, a home based business selling Thai seafood dishes! Hereâs what we had:
~Steamed Crab w/ Milk
~Seabass Fish w/ Lime Sauce
~Cockles
~Scrambled Eggs Crab Meat w/ Rice
Overall, we felt the standard and quality of their food were really impressive! In fact, my mum was really surprised when I told her they were home based, as she felt the food was restaurant quality, which we all agreed! My favourite dish was the Steamed Crab with Milk; the meat was sweet and succulent, and if youâre a fan of crab roe, youâll definitely love their crabs! The other seafood dishes like Seabass Fish w/ Lime Sauce (the sauce was so appetising!) and Cockles were all really fresh, while the Scrambled Eggs Crab Meat w/ Rice was tasty as well! Oh ya, I also wanna highlight how solid their chilli sauce was too - so spicy and addictive that it elevated the overall taste of the dishes when dipped together!
