This was easily the best chocolate cake I have EVER eaten in my life. A slice is almost the size of my face (maybe even bigger) and comes with a river of chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s so moist, decadent and super frickin delicious. It has a hefty price point but this cake slice was definitely meant for groups LOL

Verdict: 10/10

This was honestly kind of disappointing, and there was hardly any matcha taste. The ice cream below the marshmallows consisted of both vanilla and matcha but it kind of tasted the same. The marshmallows were the best part but were easily gotten tired of after a few mouthfuls.

Popped by Lee’s Confectionerybecause it’s the only patisserie in Jurong and ya’ll know I love my desserts.
Tried their Kuri ($8) Kuri is a 🌰 chestnut dessert made with milk chocolate, chestnut and Dango (mochi)! It was quite an interesting dessert with a whole mix of textures!!
Lee’s Confectionery is quite the humble hidden patisserie where owner Lee Yin Quan makes everything from scratch by hand; each plate is crafted to order for you 🍽 I hope more nice stuff comes to Jurong HAHAHA

Tried the Hazelnut Chocolate Souffle Pancakes ($13.80) and was really happy with it! It was jiggly, gooey and airy like a cloud, but still holding it’s shape! The hazelnut flavour wasn’t super prominent and it was more chocolate-forward, but I love the crunch from the feuilletine!

Wanna come back for their new Matcha Souffle Pancakes one day! I love that they’re so mega affordable even though their portion can rival other souffle pancake brands.

I tried 4 flavs – Pistachio (has some sort of candied nut inside), Mandarin Orange, Blue Pea Vanilla and Apple Cucumber. ps sorry to the staff cos we literally taste tested every single flav before deciding... My fav was unexpected cos when things are coloured with blue pea flower, it tends to be for a gimmick LOL......but they top their creamy vanilla with black sea salt and this was what sold me on this ice cream 💦 it had great texture too and wasn’t too icy!

The pistachio and mandarin were nice too but it wasn’t super mind-blowing either 😶 what I found interesting was the Apple Cucumber sorbet! It was pretty delicious (tho Sarah didn’t like it HAHAHAHA) but had a funky texture (like ground up apples). I did like how refreshing and unique it was as a flavour!

Oh and they have a nice toasty Lavender Cone to go along with the ice creams (personally I think lavender tastes like how air fresheners smell, so it wasn’t all that for me)

Verdict: 7.5/10 (good but not the best, though they’re a pretty good option in the Town area for ice cream!!)

Back at Dopa Dopa and tried their Green Tea with Toasted Rice gelato again – it’s better than I remembered! Super fragrant green tea flavour comes through with the smoky, almost savoury toasted rice flavour! Their pistachio ice cream was also good, as usual!

Verdict: 9/10

I previously had a bad experience with 108 Matcha Saro when they first opened at Suntec because of the ridiculous service but I’m glad I gave them another shot!

I ordered the Warabimochi Parfait with Matcha Soft Serve and Matcha Sauce – it came with a scoop of sweet red bean paste, 2 chewy warabi mochi chunks and some brown sugar jelly bits at the bottom! Each component was delicious and complemented the overall flavour of the matcha, which was super rich and decadent.

Verdict: 9/10

Even though Monarchs & Milkweed does have striking similarities to Gelato veteran, BoP Gelato, they have their own flavour range of unbeatable flavour combos that allow them to hold their fort against BoP. Super creamy texture, not icy at all and flavours are super gao!

Faves are the burnt white chocolate and brown butter sage! Must-gets when you’re there!!

They see me rollin’ they’re not hatin’ cos this roll was SUPERB. The texture of this roll was practically cloud-like and it was perfumed with the fragrant earl grey tea (speckled with some tea leaves too)! I’m such a sucker for swiss rolls and Cafe Plain Jane does them so so well! Wanna come back for their Thai Tea Roll as well!!!

These babies are only available after 11am but they are sooo worth the wait. I especially loved how rich the chocolate glaze was and the donut was nicely fried – not too greasy yet still super crisp yet fluffy inside! It was also quite a hefty donut, so $4.50 is not a bad price tag for this rather delicious dessert!
