Get good pizza and beer deals at @santis.sg in 📍Telok Ayer. There's 🌠1 for 1 with #BurppleBeyond🌠 but I didn't think the pizzas were that great. The vibes and drinks here are not bad, though!

Pictured is the green pig, which had avocado creme with crispy pork on top. I liked how they played with the textures on this one and added crumbled almonds on top! The basil was also a refreshing addition.

This involved crumbled bits of a smoked lamb leg. We usually like lamb but this was too gamey for us. The crust of the pizza was on point though -- open crumb and slightly burnt.

This date night favourite may not have a distinctive name but Pasta Bar sure delivers. Their $30+ pastas pack so much flavour in their delicate portions that the 2 of us didn't regret splurging on 3 pastas during our exclusive night out here.

This dish was the star of the night, and could be found on everyone's bar counter. The pasta looks strikingly jaundiced but don't be put off! Its colour probably has something to do with its deeply umami flavour. This was so unique we should have ordered 3 of these.

We thought we should get a pasta with a little meat so we ordered this tagiatelle full of tender, thick clumps of pulled beef. Definitely a delight for the senses but it couldn't beat the crab.

We were greedy for a third so we tried the ever-safe choice of carbonara. The ciriole sure was thick and chewy and definitely lent a unique house-made dimension to this dish. The carbonara was done the authentic dry style which was satisfying with the cheese at first but got a teeny bit clumpy in the end.

Set in the old building of 📍 Fortune Centre (Bugis area), you can enjoy handmade pastas at @pastaandco -- choose between interesting choices such as squid ink tagliatelle and roasted capsicum with paprika spaghetti with your sauce base. For me, there were hits and misses but I don't think I'll return.

🌠 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond ! 🌠 But take note that the 1 for 1 is only for the small sizes so you'll have to pay the difference in price (~$5) for each dish if you want to get the full size. I do recommend you do this because even the full size wasn't that hefty.

This pasta was the star of the show! I doubt I'll ever be properly satisfied by a solely cream or tomato based pasta ever again after tasting this. To be honest, the vodka doesn't taste like much but the piquant tomato, savoury bacon, and cream formed a perfect combination of flavours. The dish comes with "bird's eye chilli" as well but the spiciness wasn't too bad.

This was a fair attempt at the Italian classic, but came across a bit dilute and too peppery. Oh well. At least the fusili lunghi was fun to chew on!

Crispy but a bit too chewy inside. Worth a try but it's nothing special.

Celebrated Valentine's in 📍Novena and had quality Italian food at uh... disproportionately high prices in my opinion. It was an immersive tablecloth affair but too bad the waiter kept rushing us as well to get out before the sitting was over though there were many empty seats. 🤷

The bread here is really good though.

Now I really appreciated the mild gorgonzola cream here! Tempered by the walnuts, I loved the marriage of crunchiness of the nuts and chewiness of the little spinach gnocchi bits.

The handmade ravioli had a nice chewy texture without being too thick. The pork sausage didn't taste that meaty but went well with the mushroom cream sauce.

Mediocre calamari - it was crispy but there was nothing discernable that could justify its $26 price point.
