Felt the sauces were a bit too salty. Also didnt like that the pasta was a bit undercooked. Would probably give it a miss.
Had the pork cheek pasta and prawns pasta. Both were tomato based
Fyi, this shop has closed.
But google and the burpple app still lists it as open.
A check on their IG page confirms its amk outlet is closed. They do have another outlet in tampines though
Had the lamb shank and a side of truffle fries.
Meat was slightly under seasoned, and couldnt taste the flavours described in the menu.
Fries were very crispy and not moist, but could have done with a dash of salt.
Service was also quite slow for a thursday night.
The curry gravy was quite nice. A pity its flavour failed to penetrate into the meat. Happy hour drinks are 5 dollaes
Chicken rice ($8 nett)
$8 dollars for chicken rice?
Yup. But it tastes like normal 3 dollar chicken rice.
You're better off eating in kopitiam before coming over to RWS. Unless you're confident of making a killing at the casino, then i guess you probably have cash to spare.
Prawn bostador ($27.80++)
Had a good experience at the ceylon road outlet but the Sentosa one failed to meet our expectations.
Had the prawn bostador, and it didnt taste as lemak as the one in the ceylon road outlet. Also was disappointed that they didnt have the fish pickle which they served in ceylon road.
But i must acknowledge that the Sentosa outlet had a far nicer ambience, very good for date nights/ relaxing evenings with friends.
The ceylon road outlet is cheaper too
Beef and pork smore ($25.80)
Slightly disappointed as the meat was too dry and tough. While the sauce was tasty, the sauces didnt penetrate into the meat, so the meat was pretty tasteless too.
nice ambience though, very good for date nights/ relaxing evenings with friends.
They have another outlet in Ceylon road, and we loved our experience there.
Chili Crab Pizza ($32++)
Interesting combination to have cheese and chili crab sauce on a pizza.
While the pizza had a decent amount of crab meat, the pizza dough isnt the thin crispy sort. Feels a bit more chewy. Would recommend you give this a miss and get their other mains instead
Ask to sit inside as the acoustics are much better. Outside can get a bit noisy and warm.
Truffle Mac and Cheese ($25++)
Pretty basic truffle mac and cheese. Its exactly whats described on the menu. Decent, if unspectacular.
Ask to sit inside as the acoustics are much better. Outside can get a bit noisy and warm.
Beef kimchi miso shoyu ramen ($11 50 nett)
Nothing special about the ramen. Soup tasted uite high in msg. Noodles were a bit clumped together upon serving.
Can afford to give this place a miss.
But its a decent place to come if you have people with differing preferences as this place sells a wide range of items such as ramen, donburi, baked pasta, steak and desserts.
This place is also halal certified.
Note that this place only accepts cash or nets.
Claypot rice
A dish is not considered claypot rice if it was merely cooked in a claypot. To be eligible to be called claypot rice, the rice must have the smokiness and wok hei. Unfortunately, the claypot in this claypot rice was just in name only. Tasted more like rice with dark sauce and chicken.
Ordered the seafood fried rice (about 16++)
Would recommend you head to nearby dintaifung if you want fried rice.
While Paradise's has prawns and scallops, those dont really make up for the lack of punch in the fried rice. Wok hei was also lacking.
