The Only Kind Of Drink I’ll Ever Have
It was really a hidden gem as you had venture into the basement of a condo located in the geylang/kallang area. But they had a great selection of craft beers and the owner and customers there were very welcoming. It was our first time there but it felt like home. Nelson Eclipse is a must-order if you’re there too!
Although TWG is known for tea, their macarons are TO DIE FOR. We loved the caramel (black one) and matcha (green one) the most. But the passionfruit (purple one) and tiramisu ones were very very good as well. Slightly crisp on the outside with the good chewy bite on the inside. The fillings were impeccable too!
This was the winery with the best vibes out of all that we visited in the area. They had an outdoor seating area with trees decorated fairy lights. It was a fairytale-like setting, coupled with good wine.
Had an amazing wine tasting session at Muga. The reds were especially rich and good too.
This is our go-to place for NEIPAs. They always have a very good selection for NEIPAs on draft! 10/10, would recommend.
Nimbu Pani was made with Gin, Masala Chaat, Black Pepper, Lime, Salt while Taping Town had Whisky, Rum, Gin, Berry Medley, Ginger, Lime. Both had a slight spice kick to it from the Black Pepper and Ginger which we really really liked!
The Carpe Diem is a must get. It consists of Whiskey, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Grapefruit, Lemon and Bitters. It was a complex drink with many layers to it!
They ask for your preference in wine and recommend wines from the winery personalised to your liking. They were very knowledgeable and we got to learn of the winery’s history while sipping on some good wine.
Now I understand why they have a perfect score rating on Google. They literally customise the cocktails to your preference and they have an insane variety of distilled liquors to whip up the perfect cocktail for you.
I was adventurous and tried a garlic flavoured one and I wasn’t disappointed. May sound like a terrifying flavour for a cocktail but the garlic was perfectly balanced, there were hints of it but did not overpower the drink. Genius!
Their cocktails were so good. They even customise them to your taste. We spent the night here with friends and tried out almost the entire menu and the cocktails didn’t disappoint. Also, the atmosphere of the bar was great. It was dark and mysterious, yet classy at the same time. The bar became more lively as the night grew late. The bartenders turn on songs from the past while everyone sang along to them. 10/10 would recommend!
We were given the outdoor seats for some afternoon tipples. The vibes at D.O.P was great as we could dog watch while enjoying good wine and cheese. Their burrata was extra flavourful as compared to some others I have had. Get the Al Passo red wine if you are there too because we really enjoyed it too.
