Chinese Food
This bowl of mala beef noodles is truly comfort food, the soup has flavour and it isn't laden with chilli oil. The slices of beef were tender too!
Tried the new Meow Barbecue recently and it was a pretty good place for no frills BBQ. For someone who likes spicy food, I liked the seasoned meats more especially the chicken which was a surprise! The beef was tender as well and everything was in thin slices so they cooked quickly too. They also have other small dishes that you can order and eat, we had the tofu which had really strong flavours so they go well with rice. I also liked how everything was quick and efficient which was great because I was very hungry then (which explains the lack of pictures) 😂
Had @nuodle.asia's soy sauce noodles which had simple flavours but done well with the variety of textures in this dish. The noodles were super smooth and silky making them easy to slurp, the beef was tender and the chickpeas were very crispy too! I had the set meal which includes a side and a drink/soup so I got an onsen egg and a beef ball soup. It was a good meal indeed 😌
tamjaisamgor.sg's mixian is comfort food with their silky mixian and their spicy soups! They now have afternoon sets which comes with noodles and two ingredients from the list they offer, along with a drink. You can add the tufei chicken wings at a discount too! Check their socials for more details!
Haven't had @jiaherestaurant's bentos in awhile and they've made changes to their menu! I got a mix of my usual, eefu noodles (special order) and fried prawn wrapped in beancurd skin and seaweed, along with new items such as the baked Cajun chicken, tofu with spinach and spicy and sour soup. It was very filling and very satisfying too 😋
Sadly the roujiamo was less good this round with less filling and flavour with the bread being too dough-y for my liking 😪
Had Biangbiang Mian after a long time and so glad the noodles are still good with their chewy texture!
Had @dintaifungsg's limited edition tang bao recently and it was pretty good! The soup was tasty and especially good to have on a rainy day. I would have liked this more if the skin was less thick on top because it was a bit difficult to eat but I still enjoyed it nevertheless. I would have liked it with scallops too, we didn't seem to get any so it might have just been the flavour 😆 This is available till end of this month so get it soon if you want to try!
We had other sides as well and my favourite is still the duck in crispy scallion pastry 😋
Visited @yubafangsg twice recently because I was glad that I could have their guotie without having to queue! I've tried the Signature and the Chicken and Corn flavours and I prefer the Chicken and Corn one for the extra crunch. The meal is pretty value for money, just add $1 to get a soup/drink and a tea egg 😋
@jiaherestaurant has ala carte dim sum buffet for lunch and tea on weekdays and weekends. They include a spread of dim sum items, Peking Duck (for an additional $15), a meat/vegetable dish per table, a soup per person and a noodle/rice dish per table. There's currently a promotion of 1 adult dining free with 3 paying adults and we had a very fulfilling meal during our visit 😌 Swipe to see some of the things we ordered! 🤗
These are more like fishballs but they were bouncy in texture plus crispy outside too.
These were fragrant, with the flavours of the butter complemented by the sweetness of the lobster
