Slow cooked beef and potatoes dry Portuguese curry
Different but not too very familiar, the curry had a full body with a thick rendang-esque sauce. Delicious but the spice level is serious stuff as the chili was cooked with all the seeds intact. Beef and potatoes were cooked perfectly, again ask for less spice if you want to order this
Despite the atas setting, prices shown were nett with gst and svc alr included so thats a nice Surprise.
The eggplant was cooked very well, still soft and sweet and the sambal was spicy, sweet, and full of body. Really fragrant but the heat is real, ask for less spicy unless youre prepared to down a lot of ice water. Decent portion, good for 1 as a main dish
The meats werent v good but the deboned chicken Wing is worth a try. Juicy and fuss free.
Pretty decent, sweet enough with a nice gula melaka but overall not as good as Christina ee's
While the nonya Zhang was satisfying, this was more savoury as it lacked the sweetness. Ingredients inside were cooked to perfection but whats more impressive were the supremely flavourful rice grains. Can eat them by itself for sure, rendering it a must try here despite being slightly removed from the central jonker area
Utterly delicious, the filling seems like the usual but the flavours were next level. Truly deserving of the praise best dumplings in melaka. This was the first food item i decided to Buy more of to bring back in melaka after one full day of exploration
The pork Liver had a delightful semi-hard texture that i particularly liked but my friend didnt. The pork satay though was super smoky and intense. A must-try over here, worth the walk from jonker area. Come early as they run out of certain meats in the afternoon
Double shot for 20.8 and 50g
Cendol itself was translucent and thinner than usual, with a bit more snap as well. Coconut cream was thick and plenty, and the free Flow gula melaka was good as well. Though the musang King puree itself was of high quality, somehow this time it doesnt meld well with the chendol. Overall one of the best chendol ive had here, but doesnt beat some of singapore's best
Meatballs were tender but their Handmade fishballs were where it's at. The Fish flavour was distinct and the meatball was so springy
Tau Kwa was really good, the surface had an almost tau pok like texture and is really good at grabbing on to sauce
The yellow Noodles were thinner and had a more pleasant texture than normal. The duck was really tender as well. Quite good
Small portion, good for one. Nothing to shout about taste wise
