Best Steaks In Singapore

Was surprised that a new cafe has taken over the former #JewelCoffee shop at Farrer Park! I was there for a coffee tasting session about 1 or 2 yrs back.

@daizu.cafe looks like minimal changes were done to the original cafe with them also retaining the barista area on L2.

They serve mainly Japanese-Western Fusion food.

We had their Steak and Fries / Steak and Frite, beef bowl and coffee.

The steak was juicy and tender and lightly seasoned. It retains the sweetness of the beef. Fries was really crispy and hot! 😍

Overall, the food is enjoyable and service was warm. We will return again for sure. Seems like a pet friendly cafe as we saw customers sitting outside with their pets 👍.

The truffle fries is fresh and crispy but I did find it a little ex as it is truffle mayo which means it is a little diluted.

Can do without, I wish they offered normal fries at half the price (:

Can also skip the mushrooms, was a tad too salty.

I love a good steak! @steakvillesg is a hidden and underrated restaurant serving steaks near the heart of town (Bencoolen).

We ordered the 200g Hanger Steak ($22+), that comes with a salad. The beef was tender and juicy, very small of it has a mildly burnt taste (which I like). It comes with a very light beetroot sauce that adds a touch of sweetness to the dish!

This is comparable to Featherblade but without the queue.

Psst, they have a weekday lunch deal, though steaks are not included but most reviews said that their other dishes such as pasta and chicken are also awesome. And they serve good coffee by @candourcoffee
