Went to the lobby lounge for Beyond 1-1 high tea @$38.. the picture taken speaks for itself. Unaesthetically presented with non descript
coffee .
They serve only one set claiming its enough for two.. yes two chihuahuas maybe! The savoury pastries couldn’t match up to delifrance both in taste and size. The tea cakes were disappointingly subpar and not befitting the hotel standards. Totally not worth the $38, even though it’s refillable would you want to eat empty tasteless calories?

Shouldn’t have ordered this for dessert.. sounded nice and looked nicer in the menu but sadly was a tasteless disappointment. Four layered creamcheese redbeanpaste matcha and 4mmthickspongecake made up an insipid rendition of a dessert.
The rest of the meal was also not up to par.. my bara chirashi donburi was only big enough for my chihuahua and he’d prolly reject it for lack of freshness

‘Twas a hot day and after brunch at old hen we crossed the road to cool down with some icy bingsu. Whilst the ice was really snow like the bingsu’s paucity of injeolmi powder and solid frozen rice cakes made it a fail for me. Hubbys 1-1 avocado gado bingsu fared better with avo cream, gula melaka and coconut ice cream atop.. that saved the day
Service was great and its my principal that if I’ve nothing good to say about all else, dont say it
