Second visit! The mains - dang gui & assam chicken - were tender, juicy and flavourful; the imperial coffee was strong and "gao" enough. Overall, 'twas a comforting meal!
This was surprisingly good! Wasn't sure how this would taste but it was a pleasant surprise:)
Coffee taste was a little too strong and could be slightly sweeter but overall still a good choice!
Not usually a hor fun person but this is just amazingly good! Must-try!
Enjoyed the two mains - curry chicken & sesame chicken. They were served fresh, filling, and rich in taste. The imperial coffee was also strong and smooth, not acidic. It was still too sweet despite being "siew dai" (less sugar) though. The service crew were friendly too!
Chanced upon this stall situated at a corner of an unassuming coffee shop one weekday night, and just had to check it out after learning that it's a Michelin Star awardee! Queued ~30 mins for a small serving of the teochew-style bak chor mee. The meat was fresh, egg noodles were served al dente with a firm bite (would have preferred sth that was more cooked though), and the chilli and vinegar were just nice, not overwhelming. Found the prices steep ($6 for small, $8 for regular portion) as I'm not a huge fan of BCM.
Healthy comfort food on a cold rainy day. The Konnyaku fishballs were tasty and had an interesting texture (compared to regular fishballs). The herbal broth was too light for my liking.
A cosy place to catch-up with good old friends over fresh, quality food.
