Beyond

Went with the eatigo deal. Had the chicken pasta as seen in the reviews but taste was average and bland. Drinks were good but would not come again.

Had the intention of using burpple but ended up going with their in house set meal promo which was more worth it. Tom yum pasta and carbonara were decent, home cooked/comfort food quality. However the Tom yum pasta mussels weren’t as fresh and squid came a little cold. Service was so-so. We came first and were told we would get a seat so told us to wait on the side. Shortly more people came and everyone else were given seatings before us despite telling us several times we were next. This was 4 batch of groups. We waited for about closed to 30 minutes.

I love this place! 😍 The spicy mushroom pasta and gashouse eggs are my favourite. Everything here is so good. Well prepared and kicking with flavour, this is a go to for a Weekend brunch. Seating may be difficult to get on weekends if you come at busy timing but sooooo worth it. I’ll definitely keep coming back, this cafe is a favourite!

A nice balance with vegetables on the side. It is a healthy option. This dish was far from being dry but it was not outstanding. Paired really well with the sauce. In general, food was ok and ambience sweet. Without the deal, I’d say it isn’t worth it. Choose the wagyu steak or the pork!

Portion is very generous. Served with a peppery sauce and steak done medium rare, it was definitely a treat. Eggs had chilli flakes sprinkled and the overall dish very mouthwatering and worth it. Yummy!

Tried many of the flavours and they were rich in flavour. It’s a nice quaint cafe in Bishan and just 5 mins away from Bishan mrt. Only setback is that the place accepts only cash even when grabpay is an option as they have no terminal for nets or credit card. Reason given was that you can’t stack promotion which isn’t stated in the terms. So people who are looking to use the beyond deal, do remember to prepare cash! 😊

Tried both the matcha and Hokkaido milk flavour. The matcha used isn’t as strong as the Hokkaido milk so I’d say pick the milk if you’re a milk lover. As a matcha lover, it was a tad bit disappointing. The cone that came with it tasted poorly. Overall, pretty nice soft serve ice cream if you’re looking at a quick pick me up.

While the prices may not come cheap, it’s pretty damn reasonable for what you’re getting. This outlet of Chong Qing at Mosque Street is my favourite as it comes with the 1 for 1 buffet deal on Beyond! Almost everything tastes good here but my recommendations would get be the mala grilled fish Xiang la at medium spiciness and a bowl of white rice. The fried chicken pieces in mala is also highly recommended! All these things are pictured above.

Came here when they had the Beyond deal but sadly they do not have anymore. But even without the deal, it tasted so good and I would probably come back again. I got the cubanos which may look simple, was complex in terms of flavour with every bite. Paired with a beer, it made a good brunch destination on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Prices were really reasonable with the Burpple Beyond deal we used. We got the Mentaiko Pasta and Porky Bowl with a cup of coffee to go along with it. Overall the mentaiko pasta was abit bland and wet. Can’t really say that it was very pleasant. But the porky bowl was amazing with the flavours in it coming out strongly and fusing together well. Texture was really great with the wet egg and crunchy pork as well. Coffee was decent.
