We were way too full to eat the regular-sized juju bowl so we gave the baby a try! Not sure if it’s because we generally have small dessert stomachs but for $4.50 I thought this was decently portioned. Just like a scoop of ice cream. If you like acai, and you like refreshing things, this will probably be great :-) came with a scoop of granola at the bottom too.
We tried the S’mores pie and Honey Macadamia pie. In general, the experience was pretty good but not memorable! The chocolate pudding(?) in the S’mores was like a rich milk chocolate ice cream but wasn’t too sweet. The marshmallows atop had a charred flavour which I personally found slightly odd - I thought I had scraped the wooden plate too hard. Honey macadamia was overall great - the smooth lemony cream cheese paired well with the nuts. PLUS POINT THOUGH we loved the pineapple and calamansi soda we had from The Tapping Tapir.
This was pretty worth it with burpple beyond, especially for the ice cream platter.
We initially thought that the 64% Madagascar ice cream had the most flavour, but after we cleansed our palate slightly with some of the dessert, we realised all 3 scoops had their own unique flavour (we recommend sipping water in between haha). It made for an interesting experience!
Dessert wise, we were glad that there was variety. We really enjoyed the raspberry thingy atop the financier, as well as the caramelised walnuts - but other than that, we felt that the rest of the desserts were just alright.
