scrambled eggs with luncheon meat on a bed of rice with some sauce!! comfort food!

rice could be more fragrant imo. chicken was fried perfectly with the right amount of crunch. meat was very tender!!

saw a relatively short queue of around 6 ppl and so i decided to try it today. first impression would be the chicken is really huge and i think that’s the main selling point. rice was not oily but didn’t have a very strong coconut smell. chicken was very tender and the skin was thin and crispy. it did have some sort of a marinade but i couldn’t tell what is it. overall i find it okay; good for its price.

rice was super fragrant and did not taste over coconuty. the ikan bilis and peanuts was cooked with some chili. i enjoyed this combo a lot but might switch up the chicken wing for a runny egg the next round.

min. spending of $4 and this store sells out early!!

Paofan with fried fish! the soup tasted like a seafood soup. fried fish was enjoyable with bits of the crispy rice

this stall is popular for their pao fan but they do sell fried rice too. fried rice was not oily and had a good amount of wok hey. chicken cutlet had abit too much flour…

roasted pork is one of my favorite meats. but sadly, this place didn’t quite hit the mark despite being highly raved. the skin wasn’t that crispy and the marinate of the pork was not quite there. it wasn’t a bad plate, just that it was nothing spectacular.

my friend also commented that standards seemed to have dropped from the last time she tried.

a typical mini wok stall serving the normal zhi char style dishes. i opted for the the fried rice with prawns. there were other options with luncheon meat and beef too. prawns had a good batter coating and was crispy. fried rice has some wok hey to it.

the chicken was crispy and i think the skin has some salty seasoning to it. pasta portion was just nice since there was the chicken as an accompaniment.

i think for 10.90 it’s definitely on the steeper end for a lunch option as compared to the many other affordable stalls within the same area.

they have increased price to $7 from $5.80 but still affordable.
chicken is tender and goes really well with the gravy and curry.

prefer the roaster pork over the char siew
