This is an interesting cafe where you walk through a secret entrance (a fridge door 😃) to get into the rabbit hole! Nice place to just hang out with friends.

Like the vibes of this cafe, which is located in a charming old house. A nice place to chill out. I particularly like the rose latte, squid ink pasta, big breakfast and avocado toasts done 3 ways.

Old school wanton mee loaded with dark soy sauce and with sizable wantons that are tasty and peppery! The vinegared pork trotter 猪脚醋 was so good.

Although the cafe is not instagram-pretty, it has a good selection of coffee beans that you can choose from. The staff will then use the most suitable hand brew method to make your coffee. Definitely for coffee lovers.

Even if you are not a fan of duck blood, this curry mee is totally worth a try! The creamy and delightfully spicy curry is fantastic. The duck blood does not alter the taste of the curry and it’s served with cuttlefish, prawns and tau pok.

The Hokkien prawn mee was served in an umami broth that was so good that we drank everything up! Go early to avoid the long queues.

This fairly large eating house (with an aircon extension on the other side of the road) serves flavourful pork broth which you can choose to add different porky parts and carbo. Recommend the minced pork which is very well marinated. They also serve some zi char dishes and solid gao gao local coffee.

So many choices of briyani at Hamdeediyah, one of the oldest Nasi Kandar restaurant in Georgetown. We tried the Briyani Ayam Kampung and Briyani Ayam Tandoori. Both were good. So was the Ayam Murtabak too!

The Assam Tumis with stingray has the perfect balance of sourness and spice!

Simple ingredients but so flavourful!

The chicken was crunchy and yet juicy. Coated with a sauce that was sweet, tangy and savory. Perfect combination!

Sinful kway chap with braised duck, pig intestines, pig ear and duck blood! This is not quite a restaurant but more a food stall along Kimberly Street. Very flavorful, nostalgic and not for the faint hearted. 😆 We ordered 4 persons’ portion (RM69) for our party of 6 and we felt so stuffed after that.
