Bid my first and final goodbye to Bake Cheese Tart. Never tried it in Singapore all these years as I was overseas. Am now back, and when I heard they were closing down, I decided to make the trip to see what they really were about.

Really is a great cheese tart, I'll tell you that. The tart base did not crumble immediately and had a little bite to it, which is prefect. The cheese was very "flowy" when it was warm. But pop it in the fridge to get a nice, cheesecake - like consistency.

But I must say, for the size, the steep price tag of $3.90 for 1 is rather unjustifiable to me. Perhaps one of the reasons as to why they are closing is due to their steep price tag. Of course, demand for the tarts shot up once everyone heard they were leaving. I had to queue 20 mins for it, and there was a pretty long queue. I do wish them the best, though I'd have to be honest, if they did stay on, this is something I'll rarely see myself buying because of the price. Buying it once just to try is good enough for me.

Delicious Melon Custard Bun! Don't get fooled by the name, this treat here doesn't contain any melon. Instead, what it actually is, is a bread coated with a crisp kind of "cookie" on the outside. Very pleasant, and it really melts in your mouth. The custard filling inside was not sweet, which balances well against the crust of the bun which is moderately sweet. It's perfect for a small dessert after your meal.

Doesn't contain too many calories as well, roughly 250kcal. It's costs $3++, don't remember the exact price unfortunatelyšŸ˜…. Something you should definitely try, quite a high quality dessert from Japan.

This has to be the best carrot cake I've ever tried. Never had one as dense and moist as Cedele's before. The cream cheese on the cake was not overpowering and balanced well with the cake. Very generous with the walnuts. I do wish the slice of cake was a little bigger. At $7.50, this does not come cheap. But it was absolutely delicious, I'll have it for the occasional treat.

I've bookmarked this place for quite a while now, and today was the day to go to BUNDT by The Backyard Bakers! Oogling over their black cocoa brownies for as long as I can remember, and finally had the time to try them. Got the crunchy peanut butter + pink salt brownie, and the salted caramel brownie. Love both of them, but to me the salted caramel brownie is the champ! A warm, rich, black cocoa brownie that isn't cloyingly sweet, with a strong salted caramel flavour. A myriad of flavours in the mouth, such a treat it was! The crunchy peanut butter one, well, it was great too, but the peanut butter inside wasn't crunchy (chunky) šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ still absolutely delicious though nonetheless.

I actually ordered one only (the Peanut butter one) via their Instagram DM the night before, but it was so good that I went back for another one and thank goodness they had more available so I got the salted caramel brownie. Hands down, best brownies I've tried in SG so far. This will be my go to place for brownies from now on.

Though it's expensive (about $10 for 2 brownies), it's baked fresh, made with quality ingredients, and its just mad delicious. I'd say it's worth the price. There was this lady at the cashier whom I felt was really nice and motherly lol, they really do go by their motto of #wefeedyoulikefamily. Do yourself a favour, and support them!

This Blancmange Chocolate roll cake from the newly opened NOW Bakery in Singapore is the real deal. Has to be the best damn roll cake I've ever had. Exactly as I imagined it to be. Think moist and dense chocolate cake roll wrapped around a very thick, silky and creamy chocolate pudding centre. I believe it can put up a fight against Rich and Good Cake shop, though Rich and Good Cake shop will still be my go to for roll cakes. Go and give this one a try! It's at Capitol Piazza. Something new and interesting. Everything's freshly baked so prepare to wait a little bit for your order.

Rich and hearty bakes! That Salted Caramel Cupcake ($4.20) was the best cupcake I've ever had in my life. You CANNOT go to Plain Vanilla and not order their cupcakes. Dense, moist and very rich. I had these all to myself, a little cheat day for me! Their Peanut Butter Brownie ($7) and Dark Chocolate Marble Cake ($5) are pretty awesome as well! But undoubtedly, hands down, the undisputed star was their Salted Caramel Cupcake. Money well spent and a must try!!

Finally went down to Nasty Cookie after months of oogling over their cookies on Instagram. Back then, they didn't have a shop to sell their cookies and the only way you could purchase them was online.

Had their Premium flavour, a Reese's cup cookie, injected with Marshmallow filling and a soft serve, courtesy of Chope's discount voucher. Now I was pleasantly surprised, this cookie isn't cloying at all. It's a pretty well balanced cookie. The outside has a light crisp, and the inside is a little chewy and gooey; I.e. fudgey.

As for the soft serve, you DEFINITELY could do without it. Basically a really non creamy and light vanilla ice cream. Trust me when I say this, Mcdonald's soft serve is wayyyyy better than this. I feel that it numbs the flavour of the cookie rather than complement it. Can't really taste much marshmallow in the cookie, probably because of the soft serve šŸ¤”.

Overall, a positive experience but I feel it's rather gimmicky. Definitely not worth the price if not for the Chope deal I got. Still good though, and staff were very friendly and helpful.
