cheap and good food worth crossing the causeway for

I kid you not. These eggs anyway cost 10.50 RM ala carte. Think overflowing flowy creamy scrambled eggs on sour dough, and you'll know it's a steal.

Adding sides like tattertots and chicken sausage added just 9.90 RM more.

#takemymoney will come back for this

This place is much raved after and I understand why: aesthetic food in a relaxing setting. Was pretty impressed with my Wild Mushroom Risotto (RM 28) - with abundant and diverse mushrooms, with it's rice immersed in the truffle fragrance and chicken/mushroom broth and it's golden egg yolk goodness.

Having supported Routine by Soon, and People and Places, I'm convinced that they do want to deliver cr8tive quality food to it's people.

Take note though, queues can get long - we waited close to an hour. Do they take reservations?

(Ps there is a 10% service charge and 6% service tax)

Restoran Todak was bustling on the last day of the year and we enjoyed the chili crab (RM 126 for about 900g, which is about $40 sgd, pretty worth it). The chili crab is more tangy sweet than spicy. Still we like how fresh it is, and how it comes with the shells cracked already, so it's easy to just bite into the meat.

+ The sea view of the North side of Singapore is good. V memorable night here just chatting with the sea breeze.

We enjoyed the horfun here a lot too. Ps this is about 20 mins cab ride from mt Austin

Decided upon this at the end of the shopping day as its an interesting concept and it ranges from RM15- RM25. The soup is brewed for 4 hours. Felt like the ingredients is slightly less than expected. The dry mala noodles is interesting. They also have their handmade fishcake which didnt really taste like fishcake

I got the pork bone soup with some tea powder. Overall, not too exceptional, but healthy and value for money.

Definitely had to eat it, and it served as a good break after roaming the endless Paradigm mall. Had the Liang Chicken sandwich which has honey sweet egg crepe, ham and cheese + crunchy veggie. I think its likely with chipotle sauce. Also at ~RM $12, I think its slightly cheaper than Sg

Childhood idol always!

After braving a 3.5 hours journey across the causeway, we were lucky that there's no queue ar Kam Long! Finally tried the fish head curry here. Its consistently creamy, generous amount of veg and beancurd skin!!! and the fish is tender. Would go for the fish tail next time as there'll be more meat.

Medium fish head - 40 ringgit.
