Basically creme brulee, but honestly it's better
Most creme brulees have a custard base that's steamed. This one is cooked in a pot, requiring more effort and gives a thick soft and not completely set texture. The sugar crust was textbook but the flavour was incredible. Super strong, can't rlly pinpoint what's the key difference but really it's better than most creme brulees, even though the ingredients are basically the same. A hint of lemon made it even better
Must try, it's seriously something
Overall I feel like the reviews are very overhyped, the food is expensive for the portion and taste, as well as the location. There are 1 or 2 highlights though that's worth making a trip for, but by and large no
Chef was very kind and let us tried 2 desserts on the house. In fac throughout the meal he was very nice and talked to us a lot, explaining and recommending personally
The rice pudding tastes too much like rice tho. It's not cooked into the dessert, it's very plain and doesn't taste very much like a dessert
The thinnest crispy pastry holding an obscene amount of egg custard that's slightly firmer than what we are used to. I don't think anyone has had anything like it before.
Pretty good, well loved by the fam
The pork was meh but the clams were decent. It's like an appetiser but it's a man's portion. Not quite sure what's the idea behind this dish tho, why are these 3 things tgt
Parm crust was v hard. It's fluffy like briyani actl, the duck was a little bit dry but the chorizo added nice smokiness. Overall it's a tad dry but it's fine because some of the other dishes had gravy
Portion is quite small
Served w redbean rice normally but they made small mistake and we got a veggie porridge instead
This wasn't well cooked, it's not particularly tender at all and the seasoning wasn't particularly pleasant either. Not to mention the portion being rather tiny
Too ex, the flavour was avg and the prawns were of avg quality too. It's not particularly strong and the oil doesn't have much flavours
Well cooked, has some bite, with copious amounts of garlic and a strong garlic taste(which is rare in many dishes I feel) very thick and creamy sauce
Worth a try
Dont really taste the Herb and lemon, and i loved that. It's more like a well brined flavourful chicken which is rlly up my alley. For those who arent feeling the more punchy flavours of the original chili(which isnt spicy either tho)
Not spicy at all but nice amount of spice. Very well Grilled, was super tender and succulent. One of the best Grilled chicken I've had, and unbeatable at the price with Burpple beyond. Breast can be a little dry though
A delicious bright and tangy seafood soup with consistency, colour, and richness like a lobster bisque. Filled with fresh and well cooked seafood. A joy to have and fantastic with bread
