This bubbling wok hei goodness truly lives up to its name. Smooth and bouncy, the mee tai mak blended well with the umami-laden gravy. We were surprised to find bits of fried egg and chai poh inside which added am interesting texture to the dish. Mixing the raw egg yolk into the gravy, it definitely brought the whole dish to a whole new level. This makes for an ultimate comfort food as it wasn't too salty and starchy. Added some chilli in for a fiery kick and it was indeed a good choice 😋

We also added on the Seafood Spinach Soup ($3.80) from another stall. It came loaded with spinach, minced meat, egg, wolf berries, and a large prawn. The soup was was sweet from the spinach and wolfberries, and seemed to be infused with a corn flavour. It was slightly underwhelming as compared to other spinach soup stalls which I have tried. Nevertheless, it still makes for a healthy and wholesome meal!

Another must-try is the incredible tasty and fluffy chai poh omelette. It has a beautiful golden brown crust that caught my attention the minute it was laid down on the table. It went on to captivate my tastebuds with delectable bites of chai poh. 😍
The sambal kangkong oozed with wok hei goodness with the right amount of spiciness. The fresh crunch vegetables are bombarded with an amalgam of flavour, and we feel that it's one of the better ones around in the hood!
The wok hei taste is not as distinct as it used to be, and the wow factor seems to have deteriorated over the years 🤔
Nevertheless, they are pretty generous with their pieces of sotong which were quite big! Their redeeming factor is the spicy chilli which helped to enhance the overall flavour of the noodles. Having said that, it did get quite jelat after a while as it was rather dry! Will stuck to my wet hokkien mee from now on 😁

Flavoured with yam, lettuce and spinach for sweetness, the soup is boiled with charcoal and was brimming with chunks of fresh fish!
Although I'm not a huge fan of fish, this steamboat appealed much to me with its flavourful broth and fresh meat!
We also ordered the prawn omelette, hong shao tofu, pork rib, and our ultimate favourite - crispy fried chicken 😍 It was fingerlicking good and left us craving for more!
Although the place was packed with people and it was a crammed dining spot, the quality of the food totally won us over and we left the place with satisfied bellies 😍
