BOYCOTT

In case anyone would still like to visit the place, horrible, horrible service. They even managed to eff up the prawn paste chicken wings(pictured)... it was overfried. Crabs also came bitter, definitely not fresh. Would not recommend!!!

It is unfortunate that of all 4 dishes we ordered; this chicken, stuffed squid, salsa bread and valrhona beef, the burnt/charred look/smell/taste had a VERY strong presence. The best dish we had was the beef, very tender and flavourful, since only the accompanying bread could and was charred. Decor was beautiful.

Used #burpplebeyond and was denied seating in the cafe because it was "takeaway"! This would have been understandable if the place was crowded, but it was completely empty, and based on past reviews I can see that this is BS. Was also only allowed to pay by cash and not favepay; my first time encountering such a restriction.

Staff also put the beef into the takeaway paper bowl, which is lined with wax, before using the blowtorch... not sure if best practice.

That aside, crispy fish skin topping made an interesting addition for texture, was quite filling even though small.

Ordered this with high expectations as I had really fantastic ones at the outlet in centrepoint but this looks and tastes vastly different... in a bad way.
