Shin serves two styles of udon: hot and cold. I chose the hot one!
The thick square cut #udon was cooked al dente and had a chewy bite to it! This was served in a hot bowl of dried bonito-based broth. Not sure what flavor the red one was.. but this was part of the new year menu.
This also came with a tempura platter which consists of Crab, Fish and Shrimp paste cake, Egg plant and Fried Pumpkin. Fried to perfection with a layer of golden crispy batter covering the seafood and vegetables.
I am not sure whether I have tried udon before in japan but this surely sets the bar high!
