Cakes And Sweets
Wanted it as soon as I saw it. But it wasn’t what I expected. I thot the nuts would make this cake less sweet, but it was smothered in caramel sauce. Choc sponge cake at the bottom was ok, but the choc mud-like mousse on top was very rich, very thick and sweet. Crunchy choc balls on top was really sweet too. Add to this sweet cake a sizable ball of sweet vanilla ice cream... Overall far too sweet for me.
Oh my this bitty little cake looked so pretty, and tasted as lovely as it looked. Refreshing orange flavor permeated the entire buttery cake, with a hint of rose fragrance. And of cos I loved the almond slices on top.
The cake was quite buttery, not unlike a pound cake. Lots of almond slices. The dates resembled raisins too much for me to appreciate this dessert.
This was very very yummy, and the price was great for this exceptional quality. Not sweet, and the choc used was excellent. Amazingly chocolatey too. Of all the pastries I bought from this place, I liked this the most. Pecan brownie was a close second.
Really small but chock full of pecans. Delightfully not sweet. I have never tasted a brownie this good. No refined sugar and gluten free.
The green tea flavor in this sponge cake was good. Cream was green tea as well, with tiny bits of red beans inside. Delicious with a cup of green tea.
As their other fruit rolls had the fruit flesh in the cream, I was expecting strawberry fruit but this was jam. Not bad thou. Not very sweet, with a nice tangy strawberry taste. The cream and sponge cake were also strawberry flavored.
Choc cake with cream and blueberry fruit. Never knew blueberry and choc would go so well together. The other fruit rolls I’ve tried were mostly vanilla sponge so quite surprised by this choc sponge. Wonderful with a cup of coffee.
Lovely durian aroma, with bits of durian fruit in the cream. Not overwhelmingly sweet. Nice.
A wonderfully soft and moist sponge cake with delicate Sakura floral fragrance. I loved the Chantilly cream, so light, almost like whipped cream, only better. Topped with pickled Sakura flowers. I could find no fault with this Swiss roll cake. Utterly delicious.
Very slightly dry, but that could be due to being in my fridge for 2 days. Taste was really good. Not sweet, with a sourish tang from the lemon and yoghurt. Quite pricey, but definitely on my list if I wanna splurge.
Their signature cake. Not too sweet, with a smoky caramelized gula Melaka layer on top. This cake was moist and spongy. Very nice.
