Cakes
Smores cake ($7.50)
Taste wise the blend of the chocolate layer with the digestive biscuit base is not bad, but overall the cake tastes way too hard, even with the meringue layer on top with the honeycomb bits. Lets just say there are many other nicer cakes out there. But the cafe is a nice bright casual place to chill.
Blue rhapsody cake ($10++ for a slice)
One of Genevieve Lee's creation (singapore masterchef runner up)
Blueberry gel, lavender hazelnut crumble, cream cheese frosting, blackcurrant meringues.
The cake tasted dense, similar to carrot cake. Overall didnt really like the taste and texture together, felt abit too heavy.
Lemon meringue sponge cake ($10++ for a slice)
Tastes more sweet than sour. The lemon taste could be more pronounced. The sponge cake was still soft and moist which was good. I liked the meringue as well.. light and sweet.
Strawberry cheesecake ($31.10 after 20% discount. Original price $38.90)
Flavour was enough but proportion was not good.. strawberry portion was too little, there was a huge slab of cheese and crust was also too thick and thin.
Would not recommend this.
Tiramisu deconstructed ($12++)
The coffee ice cream went well with the brownies and caramel and sponge fingers.
Worth to order!
Black forest deconstructed cake ($14++)
Comes with dark chocolate and maraschino cherry.
The chocolate lava cake was flowy and warm in the middle which made it a joy to eat with the chocolate shavings, grated coconut and coconut whipped cream. The cherries only made things better.
Would definitely recommend this to others!
Half dozen cupcakes ($22)
Cupcakes are not too sweet and flavourful enough with the inside moist and soft.
Flavours include Salted Caramel, Earl Grey Lavender, Chocolate Hazelnut, Strawberry White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Banana.
Had their Foret Noire ($9.90). I really like their dark choc together with their brandy infused cherry in it.
