Topped with scallions, this simple buckwheat noodles in hot soup with beef as sides is one of my favorite dishes to enjoy in a cold winter day. So so good and comforting!

The chick shaped custard pudding is made with Kochin Eggs and this is Nagoya regional fowl, called kochin. Here's my chocolate flavored one! This one is wrapped in chocolate mousse, and a soft sponge cake. Yum 😋

Here’s the Miso-nikomi #udon in stewed miso broth. Yamamotoya Honten serves the udon in an earthen claypot with the thick miso broth simmering in it. The udon comes in a firm texture with every bite. They uses an original soup called "ajimiso", which is blended from special local miso and bonito-base stock that makes the soup kind of salty but savoury. Mine came with a raw egg yolk in the middle. Break it and make the broth more velvety! Much needed meal before I face the winter weather outside. 🥶

Quality is assured here as the grilled eel is grilled to perfection. Toppings such as scallions, wasabi, and grated leeks are served at the side. No bones in this so the enjoyment is maximized. Japan meals continues to blow my mind. The best unagi meal i have had so far.

The Nagoya style to eat this to split into 4 sections of the bowl, 1/4 with wasabi and scallions, 1/4 with broth added, 1/4 plain and the last 1/4 as you liked the best.
