Burpple Beyond

Nestled in a HDB estate (just in front of the famous ABC Brickswork Hawker Centre), Carrara was a surprise gem! They offer a pretty decent variety of brunch, pasta and mains even though they are predominantly a gelato cafe? Pictured is the Salted Yolk Chicken Waffles - the waffles were great, the salted yolk sauce was okay. Chicken tasted like the ready made ones from Tay's. The wedges and salad were pretty good. Overall, good meal for the price as there was 1 for 1 using Burpple Beyond! Will head back for their ice cream waffles. It was packed when we visited on a Saturday night, so be prepared to wait as it is a cozy little cafe!

Finally made a trip down to Little India to try this much raved about rice bowls!

We got the mala pork collar ($10) and the sweet and spicy pork belly bowl ($10), and added on the onsen egg ($1.50). Definitely value for money, especially when it is 1 for 1 with burpple beyond! We paid a total of $13 for these two absolutely delish bowls. Meat serving was generous, rice was good quality. Definitely a good bargain, and will definitely visit again to try the other options if I am around the area.

As i stay near, decided to check out Haruyuki. Surprisingly quiet on a Friday night even though they are on Burpple Beyond. Feel that they deserve more hype as their rice bowls are pretty good. Tried their Wagyu Foie Gras Bowl ($22.90) and Chirashi Bowl ($18.90). 1-for-1 with Beyond! Meat portion was decent and the beef was tender. The sashimi slices for the Chirashi were thick! They don't skimp on the ingredients even though the bowls were 1 for 1. Fantastic service (waitress was very attentive and kept refilling our ocha). Will definitely return, and hopefully more people check them out!

Location is a bit ulu, but if you are willing to travel, you will be rewarded with this bowl of fantastic curry and more! Loved the charcoal youtiao, and curry us great with a piping hot bowl of rice. Their garlic shoots, chilli crab tofu and fried pork are good as well. No complaints!

Came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and was told that their Chirashi was sold out! So sad but at least the Wagyu Beef Don was still available. As there was 1 for 1 on Burpple Beyond and the Entertainer, we decided to go for the large bowl at $21.90. And boy, the portion was HUGE! Even though we used the 1 for 1 promo, they did not stinge on the portion. Very, very generous. Enjoyed every morsel. Beef was tender and flavourful. Will definitely be back to try their chirashi.

Had the pistachio and hazelnut gelato. SO rich and creamy!! We love it so much that we bought a pint home for Christmas last year. So glad to know that they are on Burpple Beyond - more reason to indulge in it (although i would be back even without Beyond!)

Visited here as there was 1 for 1 on Burpple Beyond. Menu was filled with many interesting and unique dishes. Had the steak with avocado fries and dalkgalbi pasta (pictured). The former was okay, steak was nothing to shout about but the avocado fries were pretty good. Dalkgalbi pasta was FIERY HOT! So spicy but damn shiok. Overall a very good deal as the prices were pretty affordable even without Beyond.
