Tanjong restos
I loved this. Three succulent lobster claws nestled snugly within a toasted bun? YES. I had the Connecticut, which was supposed to be drizzled with warm butter - this I barely tasted, but the lobster meat and bun really made up for it! Juicy, sweet, and fresh. That’s really all you need ☺️
You should note that their opening hours are all over the place across all social platforms, including Burpple, Google and their website - basically don’t drop by on weekends, they aren’t open (I tried to on a Saturday first & it was very much closed)
They’re open Monday to Friday, and close from between 9-9:30pm, so says the staff!
Delicious smoked duck with balsamic vinaigrette as dressing, served piping hot! A new favourite at Dumpling Darlings. Got these 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond
Joining the ranks of Korean joints in Telok Ayer is Baek Jung. Cheery Korean service with a great variety of banchan and even free bottled water, we learnt that they have their own small restaurant in Korea and this is their first venture out (though under a different name).
The food is extremely hearty and comforting (we definitely overdid it with #BurppleBeyond’s 1-for-1s). A single stew is large enough for two and we got two stews, beef bulgogi and a seafood pancake between the four of us! Really generous with the pork belly chunks in the kimchi stew, let it simmer until the meat’s tender and dig into the chewy ramyeon – the perfect rainy day comfort. Come here in a group as they’re items are best shared!
