If I were to rank dim sum joints in Malaysia, Foo Hing would come first as above average; Jin Xuan second as average; and Hoong Foong the last as below average.
✨ I can confidently proclaim Foo Hing’s version of the Portuguese egg tart as the best in Malaysia. Its crisp, flaky shell and smooth egg custard filling are to die for. My favourites at the eatery would be the Teochew dumplings, their rice dishes (available as lunch specials), siumai, stir-fried radish cake, the pan-fried dumpling, and the salted egg custard buns. Honestly, the good quality and freshness of ingredients make almost everything on the menu good. Something noteworthy is that the workers at Foo Hing are all really attentive and serve with a smile on their faces despite being super busy.
💬 If you’re coming here for your breakfast dim sum fix, expect long queues. I would suggest coming for lunch instead to beat the crowd (and so you can try the rice too hehe).
