What's good -
🌟 Mi Xian: silky smooth, Q (chewy and bounce) mi xian cooked to perfection
🌟 Fuzhou Fishball: Chewy / Q fishball meat with fresh, sweet and juicy pork within
🌟 Beef balls: Very tightly packed beef meat in the beef balls - great texture and strong beef flavour
🌟 Fishball with roe: the exterior is a little tough and can be slightly more chewy/light but bursting with Roe within. Must try but slightly expensive.
What I didn't enjoy -
🤔 Soup: they are supposed to be famous for their fish broth but the broth is sooo light and tasteless, it makes me feel good about why my homemade broth always come out sooo light and tasteless lol.
It's very mildly sweet, just a little salty and flat. Same for the chilli version. It doesn't have the robustness of a good spicy soup.
Maybe the dry version is better?
🤔 Taupok with Fish paste: more Taupok than fish paste.
Unconvinced, unlikely to return again. Per pax spending is $19 including add ons
So much hype about @gonoodlehousesg but not sure why?

Guo Qiao Mi Xian was cooked to perfection. Soup is not bad too and generous amoint of ingredients. Unfortunately, the richness of the soup pales in comparison with the chicken soup. So if you order both, try this first then try the chicken soup!
Grilled pumpkin is not as soft as expected and the powder on top was a bit overwhelming.
Hmmm think can skip this dish. I was expecting a warm plate of soft and sweet pumpkin meat with slightly crispy sides.
Their signature dish doesn't disappoint. This is an amazing pot of chicken soup, it has the mild stickiness of chicken skin and the chicken oil enhances the flavour of the soup.
It's $24.90, can scoop 8 to 10 small bowls. I had three bowls.
Very warm and refreshing, goes well with the food. Can try. Can also refill with hot water.
Grilled Pork collar. Very strong pork taste, a little bit too tough, comes with a very sour dipping sauce.
A little too salty for me too.
It was mainly fats and I didn't enjoy it :(
Always for #SoupRestaurant Samsui chicken and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their other dishes!
Chicken is super flavourful, juicy and tender. Comes with ginger but it wasn't too spicy and overpowering but just elevates the overall taste of the chicken.
The 丝瓜 Soup and Tofu!
So good, 🤤🤤.

The Yellow Croaker Fish Soup was so good!! It was creamy smooth with a very light fish taste. It also contains silky smooth Liang Fen like ingredient inside. Very flavourful dish with good texture.
-
The Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs is the best I've ever had. The perfect balance of sweetness and sourness with soft, tender meat 🤤🤤.
-
Portion is very very small for the price but the food is good. Definitely worth dining in?

Definitely one of the best congee and Cheong Fun places I've been. Smooth, silky yet thin cheong fun skin wrapped around fresh ingredients. The saltiness of the sauce was also just right.
Love that they serve legit Soya Bean Milk (豆浆) and not some watered down version called 豆花水.

Will be back for more 😍😋
Yummy dimsum style high tea for this Chinese New Year! Priced from $40++, we ordered 2 sets of high tea plus a whole lot of ala carte dim sum 😋. Personally think that the price is ok as they did throw in premium items like foie gras and the prawns on the cold noodles was huge and the tea is atas tea. Of course, can't compared to swee choon or other dim sum house for pricing. But comparable to English high tea at other hotels.
Most memorable dishes includes the colourful noodles with big prawns where the noodles texture was super q. It was cold but it wasn't tasteless.
Char siew bao was fluffy and sweet.
Great service, thank you for working during CNY.
Spicy and Sour wantons 红油抄手 was flavourful without being too spicy.
The rest were pretty but also pretty average. Very pretty Swan, not so pretty mouse dimsum but both were not super delicious. It is if you love the crispy layers on the Swan. Personally, I am not a fan of such dim sum.
Love the selection of tea available.
