First time here (took awhile) and it was crowded. Luckily we got a reservation, but we only managed to get outdoor seating. We got the chilli crab pasta & dessert of the day (carrot cake). And I loved the sangria! Overall we enjoyed the food, service was good, ambience was great because this place‘s more secluded from the town area. Would recommend if you don’t mind travelling a little bit further from town.

It’s been a long time (almost 3 years I think!) since I’ve been here, but this place never disappoints! Every dish is well thought out and their quality is very consistent as well. Their signature dish, the Chilean seabass, remains my favourite and is as good as the previous time I ordered it. Tried some new items from the menu this time and they were great! The service is wonderful too. Venue remains as one of the restaurants we will return to in a heartbeat.

Saw many reviews for the pork chop so I went with that, while my friend got the braised beef cheeks. To be honest, I felt that both dishes were nothing to shout about. The curly fries on the side was good though! Would consider returning with 1 for 1.

I’ve been hearing raving reviews from several of my friends about this place, so I knew I had to try it for myself. I’m happy to say that this place didn’t disappoint and it was worth travelling for. The interior had a nice ambience as well. Both dishes that we ordered were good, and I would recommend the beef cheeks. I will likely return again to try the other mains!

We used the burpple set meal and I would say that it was really worth.

For starters, we went with the octopus and salmon tartare - both were not bad and portions were generous!

For mains, we chose the Iberian Pork Secreto (highly recommended by a friend!) and the Ribeye Steak. I would definitely recommend the pork & would return for it as well. We found the ribeye steak pretty decent as well.

We had the blackforest cake & tiramisu for desserts. I enjoyed the tiramisu. Overall, service was good & food exceeded my expectations as well. For the price, I would return again!

I frequent Holland village a lot but haven’t tried this cafe before, and I was pleasantly surprised. Service is great, food is decent and value for money, even without burpple beyond! Portions are quite huge as well.

We ordered 4 different burgers - har cheong gai burger, mentaiko katsu burger, grub double cheeseburger and the cheesy chicken burger. I felt like the standards really varied widely. I would only recommend the double cheeseburger & the har cheong gai burger. Har cheong gai was a tad dry. The fries were pretty well done though, I could finish another bucket by myself! Location wise it’s hardly crowded and great if you’re looking for a relatively quiet place. Only outdoor seatings available and this is by the pool side.

(Apologies for the unfocused photo but didn’t really bother because of the poor lighting outdoors at night)

Still, would recommend to dine alfresco as it’s prettier outside :-) We made reservations in advance as the restaurant’s usually fully booked.

For starters, we had the soup of the day (tomato & basil) and truffle mash potato. Highlight of our meal would be the Halia’s Singapore-Style Chilli Crab Spaghettini. The portions of pasta and crab meat were so generous, and their rendition of the chilli crab sauce was amazing as well. Our other main was another popular dish, the Paperbag Oven-baked Halibut Fillet. Although it was good, the halibut fillet wasn’t as impressive. I personally enjoyed the soy and ginger broth. Finished off with the toffee pudding for desserts, which we read was a “must order”, but didn’t think it was anything to shout about.

Overall, thumbs up for the service and atmosphere. Would consider returning again!

This place was a pleasant surprise. Compared to other lobster rolls that we’ve tried, this one is a steal. It is affordable and the servings of lobster were great for its price. We recommend the chilli crab sauce. Staff was really friendly too. Note that seating is outdoor and there are limited seats. Would come back again :-)

Dessert was alright. Would probably give it a miss the next time!

This main was the highlight of our 3 course meal! Would highly recommended this 💯💯

Enjoyed this main very much. The roast potato mash side was surprisingly good!
