The chicken that makes you salivate and want more. The chicken is really well cooked, mixed with a variety of herbs and spices, creating a good balance in each flavour. Lies on a bed of cucumber, in case you need a cleanse for your palette as some might find it too heavy flavoured (but well it’s sichuan cuisine)! Best part? It’s school food so it’s really cheap!

Usually the queue is pretty long and I’ve been wanting to try it. Ordered the double fish soup and wow, it taste pretty fresh and good. I prefer the boiled fish than the fried fish. It taste much fresher and tastier. But the ingredients in the soup is quite little.. 🥴

Recently they even got listed on Michelin Gourmand Bib. Other than their best dish, which is the signature curry fish head, my favorite got to be their bitter gourd with egg. Sorry I love bitter gourd so everything with bitter gourd is so good. 😋

Their bitter gourd is also cooked with salted egg whites, which makes it even saltier and also tastier. Love this addition as they compliment each other so well.

But this is the place (Tamarind Hall’s Mala) where I first had MALA and fell in love with this spicy addiction. Missed those days whereby we will order one gigantic bowl of ingredients and eat together with my Tam Fam Bam. My favorite ingredients are broccoli, luncheon meat and lapcheong. Can’t believe I’m enjoy processed food so much. 🤦🏻‍♀️ .

The pickled radish is cooked to perfection, not too salty or bland. I’ve never enjoy Chee kueh so much. (Cos I never liked pickled radish but I love this so much?) And their chili... go try it yourself!
