Phở không phải là thứ xịn nhất, nhưng không tệ. Điều khó chịu là bạn phải trả thêm tiền cho tất cả mọi thứ, ngay cả một bát nhỏ rau giá. Nếu bạn ăn không hết và yêu cầu mang đồ thừa về nhà, cũng phải trả thêm tiền. Lần sau họ sẽ tính tiền cho tăm hoặc khăn giấy!

The phở is far from the best a woman can get, but it’s not bad. What’s annoying is you have to pay extra for everything, even for a tiny bowl of herbs and bean sprouts. In other places (not only in Vietnam, but also in Paris or California), they give you a mini tray of vegs! If you can’t finish your meal, and ask for leftovers to be taken away, you’d have to fork out extra money too. Next time they will charge for toothpicks. To be expected from a commercially-oriented group like Les Amis!

After renovation, this outlet is even more automated and efficient than before, so waiting in line or for food is reduced to the minimum. At $10.90 including service and tax, the set lunch is a steal. It’s not great phở, but good enough lah!

Lucky for them to do a busting business at lunch time, because the food is below average even by Vietnamese fast-food standards. NamNam and its sister Cơm Nam are much better. Ngon means delicious in Việt; this ain’t. Not horrific, though.
