German cheese, bacon, liver pate, potato cheese spreads. Liked the pate and cheese spreads, not so much the oily bacon spread. They do get cloying quite quickly so would recommend sharing among four people at least. Served with multigrain bread - was that an attempt to get healthy?
I guess because the rest of the dishes fared quite well this risotto kind of paled in comparison, lacking somewhat in flavours and dimensions. But it was a super generous portion, about two times what you'll get at a posh Italian restaurant, for those looking to fill up with carbs.
Tiny morsels that pack a punch of flavours. Would do better if the insides were packed with soft mash potato rather than shreds though. They have a crabmeat option for the croquettes too.
Really worth it for the price. Cubes of sashimi-like salmon beautifully plated into what looks like a garland. Even came with petals so it deserves an A for aesthetics.
I don't know why the call it a cheesecake though, since it wasn't anything like a cake. Still loved this for the yummy sweetish sauce and pomegranate bits that were doused over the slab of saltish cheese. So enjoyable to have as a starter.
Star dish of the night was this moist slab of fish coated in a crispy batter. Batter itself was crispy but didn't have much of a flavour, which was all for the better to let you enjoy the freshness of the fish. Juicy mushrooms on the side was lovely too.
Stated on the menu as a risotto with crabmeat, mackerel, chilli and coconut which essentially sounds like a curry risotto. And with that in mind, this tasted like a westernised version of curry. It was alright but nothing very mind blowing. A big portion good for 3-4 if sharing.
Was expecting a dip, which was what was stated in the menu, rather than for it to already come smothered on lavosh. Not sure what a lavosh is supposed to taste like but wasn't as crunchy as it looks. Too much cracker meant that the flavour of the otherwise tasty cod roe was hardly discernable.
I like nassim hill's new tapas menu. Great for snacking on while waiting for the whole gang to arrive. This was a delicious morsel with an oozy egg atop creamy truffle mash potato. So delicious.
Tiny little morsels that pack a punch. Amazed by how they are creamy, almost molten on the inside.
Mezza 9's crabcakes are the bomb. Chock-full with chunky crab meat, these morsels pack a punch of flavour. I'd come back just for this (and because everything else was rather average).
Ooh this was so good. So light and fluffy like eating cheese ice cream that doesn't melt. Spread it on toast by the side or just spoon it neat into your mouth. The chestnut honey and thyme added another dimension to the flavours.
