Hawker Food In Singapore
Finally featuring this lor mee ❤️ Before I had this, I hated lor mee cause it's too slimy/starchy and it isn't to my liking.
But this lor mee isn't as starchy, and personally, I love the shark fin's bites. Pretty sure it's fried fish and no shark is hurted 😋
Price: $5 (because the other portion is not filling enough)
Location : Lor Mee 178
I have never ever see a glowing curry chicken before ✊🏻 A smooth and not exactly spicy claypot curry chicken is the best for a lunch time. They are really generous on their chicken (probably 5 drummlets + chicken wings) with handful of potatoes. This curry is slightly thick with quite a fair bit of milk.
I love having it with toasted bread as compared to rice 😁
Price:$4 (fish curry is $5.5!)
Place: Hock Shun Traditional Home-mad curry
I'm not sure if this is under hawker theme, but their dry bak kut teh is a real deal! It's savoury and have a little chilli inside, and the meat is chewy. 🙋🏻♀️ for team herbal bak kut teh 🤔 for team pepper bak kut teh
As a 🙋🏻♀️, this herbal ka kut teh is pleasant, I won't say it's the best that I've tried (will post in another post). So head over for the dry ba kut teh!!
Price: $9 per pax for what we ordered (and obviously we over ordered) ♥️
My first and definitely not the last time trying this dish. It tastes like frozen jelly eith solid meat and there isn't boar taint at all! While the duck meat is soaked in soy sauce which is a little too salty for my liking!
I think these dishes are only available at night so head there in the evening ❤️
Place: Xin Heng Feng Guo Tiao Tan
This fishhead steamboat is farmost the best I've tried! Rich broth with generous fish chunks! The soup is refillable so drink your hearts away with the soup ❤️ Also, it has yam and vegetables inside as like most of the fishhead steamboat but I'm still loving this one!
Do go at night cause they only sell fishhead steamboat at night.
Price: $48 for 4pax
Place: Xin Heng Feng Guo Tiao Tan
Is long queue = good food 🤔
I'm always those lazy bum who ain't willing to queue. But I queued for this and will do it again. For this, the food is really quantity with hums and prawns. While the laska is a little thicker and lesser coconut milk. 😋
Do order large or medium because this is large. Portion wise it isn't as friendly, costed $6 for large. A little expensive for hawker food but worth having it once in a while.
