I ordered for less oily and less salty for the soup base but it is still a bit too much for me. The soup base is really rich, maybe I would pick the clear soup next time. The chicken leg is still tender but is a bit overdone.
Had dinner here and ordered shiok maki, yaki udon, fried rice, a few kushiyaki etc. Not the top notch of japanese food but definitely value for money. I don’t recommend the lamb rib though which is too burnt and salty. $20 each per person and we managed to try a variety of japanese dishes which is satisfying.
Ordered bara chirashi upsize. The portion of the sashimi pieces is generous, but the rice is sticking together when it is served which is not great. I wish there is more seasoning for the sashimi and the rice too.
The service is so-so. One of the chefs is cutting his nails at the bar table which is quite close to where they prepare the food.
Had unatama don (grilled eel with beaten egg), edmame and drink (side dish & drink). The portion is big and the eel goes well with the sweet soy sauce. Felt pretty satisfied after having it for lunch. It is pretty popular during lunch time to be prepared to queue if you come at 12:30.
Had Oyaku Don for dinner. The chicken is very tender and juicy. It goes well with the egg and the rice. It looks small in size but I cannot finish at the end.
Back here to satisfy the craving of ramen, and end up having the dry version but not the one with soup. Available for a limited period, you can dip the dry ramen to the soup and enjoy.
The noodle is only dipped into the soup when you have it so it remains to be harder than normal ramen which I enjoy it. However, since the noodle is cold in nature, the soup turns from hot to warm very quickly. The egg that I top up is a bit overdone too.
Always the place to get my comfort food when I’m not sure what I wanna have for lunch. Got daily special with bara chirashi and yellow tail roe (?). I enjoyed their side dish (radish, carrot and salmon) a lot as always. The sashimi is marinated very well and they’re very generous with the portion, so generous that i was only eating sashimi (without rice) at the end! So satisfying after having this.
Having Barachirashi don here for lunch. The sashimi cube on top of the sushi rice is so fresh! The portion is just right - I can easily finish the whole bowl and feel satisfy.
Had a craving for barachirashi (regular, $14.9) for long and finally had the one from Yuki Onna and is completely satisfied! The sashimi cubes and marinated well. Together with the onsen egg, the don is not too dry and is pretty tasty.
Had their daily special as grilled saba fish don ($15). The saba fish is quite a big piece and thick, and doesnt contains a strong smell. It is a bit pricey though. Maybe i should go for their beef don instead.
Havinf regular butadon at regular size ($13.8++), the size is quite satisfying for a lady. You can see the fat in each of the pork slices. I may request for less black pepper next time as its a bit overwhelming. It is quite yummy still.
Offer a variety of ingredients and types of udon (with soup, dry, with sauce) and even half or full bowl, which is so hard to decide every time so I had 2 half bowl twice to make sure I can try everything! Ranges from $5 to $8 for half bowl, i tried deep fried burdock, shrimp and yam and likes most of them. The udon is a warm and comforting with light broth. Even for deep fried ingredients like burdock, it is not too heavy which is great. Should visit when you wanna have something warm and light.
The only ingredient i dont really enjoy is the yam one which tastes a bit too raw for me and not sticky enough as expected.
