Having had tendon from a few places (Kohaku, Ginza Itsuki), this falls somewhat in the middle of the pack. While it doesn't have the flair of Ginza nor Kohaku with the big open kitchens, it does make a decent bowl.
I had the signature bowl ($15++ I think). Came with a chawanmushi which was frankly forgettable. Items included prawn, fish, baby corn, long bean, an egg, eggplant and mushroom. Came with a nice coating of sauce and all items were pretty nice, though a little greasy. Batter (as with most tendon places) seemed a bit too thick, and ends up getting hard as they cool down - I'm beginning to suspect that it's just a tendon thing?
One thing I observed from the kitchen was that the chefs had actually prepared quite a fair bit of the tempura items and left them out while assembling the bowls - quite unlike the other tendon placed where they fry it a la minute for your bowl. Just an observation since it didn't seem to compromise much on the quality of the food.
