(Very) late to the game, but glad I finally tried it out!
Arrived on a weekday night and was initially afraid I’d be unable to snag seats, yet there was surprisingly no queue at all even at 7pm.
At $18.80++, the set came with a regular Hamburg, tofu, aburaage (our commonly known taupok), bean sprouts on the pan, tempura ebi, rice, miso soup as well as a choice of sauce (went for the ponzu). There was also access to a salad bar which had different sorts of salads (the mentaiko pasta, Kani coleslaw and daikon were particularly commendable) AND the supposed star of the show - the free flow egg station.
The Hamburg was average at best, but when paired with the sauce, got overly salty to finish towards the end (we also tried it with the teriyaki mayo and Demi glaze sauce). Ebi was good, as with their sister Ginza Itsuki Tendon standards but everything else was not impressionable. The miso soup and rice had already turned cold, and the egg station felt a bit too overhyped.
We tried all the different eggs they offered, and the scrambled eggs were relatively salty (and actually overly scrambled to the extent they didn’t look palatable at all); sunny side ups were standard; omelette while creamy inside, tasted flat with a hint of artificial butter taste that tasted more like margarine instead of butter. Tamagoyaki were standard as well, more towards the sweeter side.
Personally felt that there was nothing much to rave about this place and the food except that it enabled access to the salad bar (great if you love your greens) and eggs (if you don’t mind them overly salty or sweet). Perhaps the hype has ended? Hopefully they can keep up their standards to match the rest of their sister Keisuke restaurant chains.
