BUT if you have @entertainersg it would be half price, isn’t it fucking worth it? OMG! The charred on the foie gras was absolute bomb! The ooze from the onsen egg, the super thinly sliced Wagyu so tender, the uni, caviar = perfect combination! 🤯

I was so famished and cold I finished the entire bowl with no grain left behind. 🤭😍🥩

Definitely one of the best Gyudon ($21.40 + Ocha) in CBD, the quality of meat is pretty darn good too. Tender, juicy, succulent and soft..

Look at the generous size of the THICK and crispy the panko-breaded pork loin was, it was 25-layers of juiciness fried to perfection! The meat was tender and juicy with good amount of meat and fats ratio, well balanced with sweet Tonkatsu sauce layer between the Japanese milk bread. IT WAS SO SATISFYING! - if only the bread is toasted, this pork sandwich would be PERFECT! 😋

Finally get to try the signature ramen here in Chijmes, Singapore. The rich Triple Soup broth consist of pork bones and chicken with umami of Hamaguri clams, topped with Porcini Duxelles sauce and white truffle oil.

Between the Shio & Shoyu, I could taste the clarity of the flavors as Shoyu is more rich and dense while Shio is more well-balanced and satisfying. This ramen is seriously my favourite in Singapore for now. It’s still a 10/10 and I love they gave a free amuse-bouche of rice that simmered with the signature Hamaguri Broth and clams for every diner.

Stumbled upon this establishment through Jpassport and realised there’s lunch promotion going on for the month of March. I have not been to Japan Food Town ever since open, so might as well. The star ingredient of @sabar_singapore is Saba (Mackerel), that includes sashimi, sushi and zuke bowl so if you’re a Saba love like I am this is a place to visit.

I have ordered the Grilled Toro-Saba (usual price is $25) but today is only SGD11.90, what a steal! Added $4 for set meal that consist of Yamagata “Haenuki” Rice, pickles, cold tofu and soup that I only to eat 10% of it. Using the JPassport app I was entitled for free Toro-Saba Sushi which was really yummy while waiting for my grilled fish.

This grilled mackerel is definitely one of the MOST juicy, thick and the freshest I have ever had! I was shocked by the “38”cm long for what’s worth. It’s well-grilled to retain the moistness of the meat, the skin was lightly salted with 3 assorted salts that makes it so crispy with the little tinge of charred. This meal was a 10/10 for me, I enjoyed myself to its bone! 😜

Konjiki Hototogisu Ramen was recently awarded one Michelin Star in Tokyo Michelin Guide 2019, and they are popular for its clam and pork broth.

Their signature Oyster Ramen is available in two iteration: Oyster Shio Ramen (Clear Soup Based) and Oyster Paitan Ramen (Creamy Miso Based) are only available at Great World City Outlet.

I enjoyed the simplicity and more refined taste of their Oyster Shio Ramen broth as compared to the creamy miso Oyster broth, as I could taste the subtlety of the original broth. Both Ramens were served with Sous Vide Cha Shu (literally melts in your mouth)on whole grain noodle that were pretty chewy (I personally prefers firmer noodles). I have added $4.90 for their char grilled pork belly which was so damn tender and juicy + half onsen egg that were super flavourful. Everything was superciliously delicious, if there’s such an expressive word. Rating: 10/10

Overall, it’s probably the best ramen that I ever had in Singapore. The noodle could be firmer though but I would definitely visit their first outlet in Chijmes for its famous pork broth. 😋

This definitely worth the money and it was served hot. I love it.

It's not too bad but I find it a little pricey for 6 pieces of small tuna roll.

Stumbled upon this new establishment that’s just opened in February through @burpple 1-1 deals and the food on the menu looks damn legit. We go for family style and ordered all these to share:

Assorted Tempura ($20++) - Not in picture

Teppan Hokkaido Hotate with Sea Uruchin ($20++/3pcs)

Seafood Roll with Ikura ($20+)

Soft shell Crab Roll ($15++)

Grilled Chicken with Salt Pepper ($12++)

Iberico Pork Loin ($28++)

120g Japanese A4 Wagyu Tenderloin ($68++)

120g Australian Tenderloin ($40++)

Mushroom Garlic Fried Rice ($12++)

Verdict: The portion were really small, it only kept us feeling just 40% full. The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy while the pork were really dry. The doneness of the Tenderloin was on point and the fat ratio of the wagyu was damn succulent!

Everything else was just alright, not mind blowing BUT I would come back for Opening meal or Executive set lunch.

We wanted to try different grade of wagyu, and apparently this is the lowest grade of beef in Aburiya. Honestly, if you are tight in the pocket this selection is recommended as the juiciness and the tenderness of the beefs were distinctive and rich in it’s flavours – an exquisite experience.

But they are just trainees, so no complaints. This is definitely a place I would recommend if you love to grilled your own meats over charcoal and have some “boothy” privacy with your best friend.

Flower looking beef tongue is definitely my must order from any Japanese yakiniku restaurant. This might be a little too thin for carnivore like me, however the thin slice cut without any seasoning was just flavorful by itself.

Consist of: Buta Karubi (US pork belly), Buta Kata-Rosu (Iberian pork loin), Tontoro (Iberian pork cheek) and Secreto (Iberian pork short ribs)
Even though they are known for beef, but I usually would go for a set of pork just to “take a break” from too much red meats. They served Iberican pork, which are damn flavorful and juicy (cooked medium rare). I love how they served them lightly salted and peppered, so we could taste the pork itself after being grilled. A perfect dish to pair with whiskey! 😋
