Coffee Journey

Acidic yet juicy enough! It’s a great pourover coffee from a co-op on the foothills of Mt. Kenya. We prefer this to the last Macchiato we mentioned. The fact that it’s served in a mug might not be a preferred choice by some during this Corona Virus outbreak. However, in Starbucks we trust! 🤓 Stay safe & sound everyone! 💚😷

New! 1 out of 3 drinks (“Smooth Brr-ew”) that we bought to calm the heat. Got the option to pick hot or cold and we pick ‘cold’. Not a distinctive taste that caught us off guard. Actually we can rarely notice the oat as one of ingredients. It is sweet, refreshing but light on cocoa.

Initially we want to go for Kenyan coffee but they are running out. The waitress suggests us to replace Yemen coffee with Rwanda coffee (similar tasting profile). Stubborn as we are, we instead pick this Burundi (one of the less well known coffee producer in Africa) Kayanza coffee estate is our second choice! 🤓

Those who enjoy the acidity of coffee will love this ‘Kibira rain’ pot. Normally we like our coffee black but just couldn’t resist creme bowl & choc vanilla at the side. Despite all these coffee seasoning, we are completely pumped with caffeine!! 🤪

Two flavours, two pieces perfect serving for 2 persons. We prefer the natural taste of orange & almond croissants to the Raspberry. The croissant is buttery, flaky with full filling just how we like!! 🥐

Heard about Bacha coffee, the Morrocan themed coffee boutique for some time & just got a chance to try their brew. ☕️ We are obsessed with coffee (one of us try all kinds of brewing at home)😄. This specialty coffee from Papua New Guinea (waghi Valley) is bolder than Kibira rain with low acidity. What a delightful pair with a dallop of cream & DIY grind vanilla & chocolate (pepper look alike shake on the table). 🍫

👉 There is a scale of beans next to the name so you can choose the coffee based on your preference of coffee taste.
👉 No reservation in the weekend. If you choose to go on Sunday like us, do come early 10:00-10:30 to avoid queueing

Want to give other latte flavours a try and think why not try this early Christmas blend @starbucksg The toffee nut crunch latte remind us of butterscotch candy. 🍬 Suspect ome candy crunch might be in this drink. 😍

Ask for no whipped cream but regret as the drink turns up with no toffee nut sauce either. The flavour is well balanced (sweet buttery drink) but we are still infatuated with Fig latte!! 🤤☕️

Tried both Colombia ‘monk of Sand Roque’ and the Christmas blend this year look so similar to last year. Decide to try something new! The Tanzania Iloma is fruity with lemony note (we always have a sweet spot for African coffee) 👍☕️

It’s an International Coffee Day!! 🥳 We take a little break on Tuesday afternoon to brew this coffee we grab last week from Starbucks in PLQ mall. 🤫 it’s light & refreshing with herbal node.(maybe because we add coconut milk & coconut flower sugar). Honestly we prefer aged Sumatra as it’s much bolder. However, feelin good as this single origin Sumatra coffee @starbuckssg supports sustainable farming! 👌😁

Check out a new Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) and obviously as a Starbucks regular, gotta drop by to Starbucks Reserve. Despite the small counter, the offerings are not that different to the big reserve. Since we tried their fig latte already from Starbucks normal counter, it’s the time for pumpkin spice latte $8.70

Tastes comforting then as how latte should make you feel ☺️ BUT as we also have another venti size coffee. We got a slight tummy ache & suspect it could be due to too much caffeine without pastry.😜 #notrecommendventisize #caffeineoverdose

The only pastry that we always order either dine in or takeaway gotta be almond croissant. ❤️Once we did takeaway & the staff gave us the croissant in a package with printed expiry date...🤓 We love their taste & texture when it is warmly served in the outlet compared to when we warm it ourselves at home.😌

The nitro cold brew is a drink that you shall try when you have their warm pastry. The foam is smooth & the espresso is bold. It’s all natural! ☕️

The new drink from Starbucks that we can’t resist. We ordered it hot on a rainy day yesterday.
The latte has a subtle sweetness with pink dried figs on top. Warm & lightly sweet espresso with a hint of vanilla Aroma is so cozy...😍
