TW Starter kit

Had salmon as well as burrata cheese spaghetti. Thought both were well executed. With the 1-for-1 deal it is well worth the money. Drinks are reasonably priced too!

Had flat white which is smooth and nice coffee taste

Had its signature Singapore Laksa ($18), which sure is tasty and “Lemak”. A very yummy bowl of goodness . However, for this price , I would have thought they could be more generous with ingredients, such as prawns ( there were just two) , fish cake and could perhaps replace the clams with cockles for customers who like the stronger taste.

Had flat white with single-origin Ethiopian beans, thinking it would give me a stronger-tasting brew. But the end product was surprisingly mild, although still with somewhat pleasant coffee taste. Atmosphere was open and friendly, which makes it a nice place to chill.

Quiet corner in the hotel that serves good coffee. It is pricey though (+$8 for a large flat white). Coffee is smooth and well balanced. Would have liked slightly stronger coffee taste though

Fresh and juicy limbo fish. Had spicy mala soup which was really tasty but on the salty side. Grilled skewers are also tasty

New Paradise Teochew outlet at VivoCity that is barely a month old. Cold crab was fresh and full of roe. Good standard of dim sum and teochew signatures too ! Was impressed with braised intestines , teochew porridge ( pork and conpoy) and glutinous rice.

Finally found a decent “ang moh” coffee at Far East Plaza and at a good price too ! Had flat white ($4), which should please coffee lovers who like their coffee less acidic with “nutty” undertones.

The place has the making of a hidden gem; “Ulu” location , specialty focus but alas, the coffee did not hit all the right notes for me. Coffee taste is good but on the “soft” side for me in terms of the coffee accent.

Generally good spread of dim sum and Chinese dishes that is reasonably priced and tasty. Was surprised to see vinegar pig trotters and braised duck wings on the menu but the latter disappointed. Custard and salted egg buns provide cute and happy end to lunch .

Decent coffee with good strength and some tanginess.
