This is the type of wanton mee using โ€œrealโ€ charsiew. The star of it is no doubt charsiew with a combination of sweet, fatty and savoury. Surprisingly, itโ€™s not too chao ta to be good charsiew, still itโ€™s not lacking any flavour. Thanks God I did not need to remove all the burnt parts before enjoying. Nothing to shout out about the noodle tho but come here to have good and affordable charsiew. Another ingredient that stands out is its sambal chili with tons of dried shrimp. I even took away $10 charsiew and my father said it was not only super good but also value for money. $10 for 4 persons to share is worth every penny.
Itโ€™s located at a small coffee shop, next to the popular Holland Drive Food Centre.

If you want to taste real beef in beef balls, here is a place for you. As a person who loves to make all types of balls: fish balls, pork balls..., I can say the ratio of beef to flour is higher than other beef balls you have ever tasted in Singapore, at least for me. Not only that, itโ€™s also springy to perfection. A downside is the dried noodle is tasteless with some fatty minced pork.

On a side note, dont forget to couple it with Milo peng $1.5. Itโ€™s good.

Ordered dried prawn mee. Itโ€™s a mixture of sourness, creamy from pork lard, savoury from dried shrimp. What stands out is their soup which is strong in prawn taste, giving you the feeling of ah maโ€™s prawn mee.

This is the most bang for every penny. It comes with plenty of lala. Thick gravy is cooked with fresh tomato and maybe chicken broth which enhances the taste. Always in my first list when I have craving for a simple plate of spaghetti. Whatโ€™s more, they provide free plain water at the self-service area. Can ask the friendly staff there if you couldnt locate it.
Do not forget to try out their other items, including the famous Oven Grilled Escargots.

Super packed on weekends. Coin prata is crispy and a bit sweet on the inside. Kosong one is crispy also but a bit thick and not fluffy enough. Maybe due to rushing to clear the crowd. Curry not as nice as RK house near Chomp Chomp.
Just a few steps away is Dunman food centre where u can try yummy wanton noodle, pls ask for their pork lard.

Opening hours: 0900hrs to 1930hrs, closed on Thursdays. That said, as I talked to the nice lady, do arrive before 6:30pm to prevent your disappointment.
The boss will make your noodle while the wife takes orders. His mom will be in charge of homemaking their wanton. I saw auntie wash their own plates quite hygienically.
Taste wise, it's up to my liking along with the just nice springiness of the egg noodles, juicy wanton, sweet charsiew. Simple but satisfying by sesame oil and soysauce based dressing. The wanton is filled with pork, guess there's no flour in it. Nothing to shout out to the charsiew tho. Generous portion of veggies btw. Please request pork lard.
What makes this really stand out is the spicy chili and prices that they offer (small/big $3/$3.5 respectively).

I'd say this is really a good place for your Teochew porridge craving. Apart from its cheap price, it doesnt compromise on the taste.
Minced meat is cooked just nice, not too dry and savoury. Also should order their fish cake which I guess is homemade.
