🐔Chicken & Truffle •

Was running late and D was nice enough to help order first - I totally wanted to go for the Steak Frites but thought I’ll go easy on the red meat intake, so I went with the chicken. Totally starving by the time I ran over in my heels 🤣

I didn’t see the menu for myself so I was expecting a roulade with mushroom duxelle (and was excited about the roulade/duxelle too!); so I was a little surprised to see just a thigh (no roulade?? 🙁🙁🙁). That aside, the chicken thigh was moist & yummy 😋 Truffle potato was rich & creamy (no lumps! Lol). The corn - I really enjoyed! Was it prosciutto? Either way, I wiped everything off the plate - that is GOOD chicken (sans bones, of course). Admittedly a lil “disappointed” tho, cos tummy was thinking about the chicken roulade with mushroom duxelle the whole morning 😛 Just means I’ll just have to make another trip over. Hehehehe •

The wagyu slices were practically melt-in-your-mouth... the runny yolk of the onsen egg, nicely soaked up by the sushi rice; furikake adding just enough flavour without diluting the taste of amazing wagyu (I didn’t touch the pickles 🤣) SO YUMZ! I could shovel a whole plate of wagyu without the rice but my wallet will be in tears 🤣 SO WORTH the calories (and price tag). LURVE! 😘😘😘

HOMG. The chicken was YUMZ 🤩 - the meat was moist and flavourful, skin crispy and not at all greasy. The spiced watermelon was something I’ve not had before! Refreshing and works awesome as a palate cleanser. After the buttermilk biscuits, the waffles frankly paled in comparison 😜That chicken though - AMAZEBALLS! •

The truffle aroma came wafting through as soon as the pizza landed 🤣 The Truffle Mushroom pizza smelt awesome and was yummy - if only the pizza crust was thinner and a lil less doughy. •

The tomatoes were a lil overpowering, couldn’t really taste the Parma Ham ☹️ I guess I was still comparing this against the burrata from Fratelli 😜 That burrata really was good! •
