[Pla Kra Pong Sum Lhut]

This deep fried fish (ok, it was half a fish) was my fave. Generously slathered in sweeet & not-that-spicy sauce and covered in diced pineapples. Brings forth all the saliva. 🤤

[Hor Mok Ma Praw Talay]

This was a pretty one to look at and also tasted great! Different from the otah we know, this was as fluffy as a wobbly steamed egg and loaded with fish slices, sotong and topped with big prawns.

We got these (among other things) to-go for a living room floor picnic and they did not disappoint. Even though they were a little cold by the time we got to eat them - the flavour still held up nicely and they still had crunch! Biting into it may be on the greasier side of fried chickens - but then, that's where the flavour is. The salted eggyness was just right and had us all licking our fingers after.
